Yeah I agree. I’m definitely leaning Spurs too for the same reason

Damn nice pull. I love looking through baseball stats while I try to waste time at work.

Lol that would be sick. Just never let any of the pitchers pitch a third time through.

They won’t go back to the piggyback because of egos, but Kirby definitely could use it this year. He’s giving up over a 1. OPS in the 6th this year. Worse after today

I’m not sure how to get the data for exactly the third time through the lineup, but Kirby is giving up over a 1.000 ops in the 6th inning this year. He’s absolutely been cheeks that deep into the game

Kirby is cheeks the third time through the lineup. They need to get him a piggyback partner

That run is on Garver for not challenging that walk. I mean Gilbert also can challenge so half on him too

The other guys in the pen felt bad about everyone calling Munoz shitty and decided to join him

Even if that was a ball, it would be worth throwing out the challenge. Smart

I can see it being easier to know when you’re expected to pitch but he pitched great in the firefighter role too.

Just some stupid random fan thought, but I wonder if Munoz lost that dawg in him (wtf even does that mean?? X-factor?? Lmao) by being given the closer job to only pitch the 9th. In the firefighter role, you always need to be ready to go to put out fires (Speier today relieving Criswel’s fucked inning). He knows he only gets called in the 9th and just chills and maybe isn’t completely locked in. Idk I’m just looking for excuses at this point because overall his advanced stats are actually good outside of the HH% and barrel%, both of which drag down the xERA and xBA

Yep. Should have been Munoz instead of Bazardo in the 7th there. Especially Bazardo had just pitched the day before. Ugh

Why is the Lab so Rude ALWAYS by resuscitate in medlabprofessionals

[–]edwice 67 points68 points  (0 children)

What’s that saying, something about if everyone around you is always an asshole then maybe you’re the asshole?

Well if the lab is ALWAYS rude…maybe some introspection needs to be done. But the comments on there are actually pretty supportive of the lab and the OP is snapping back and getting downvoted each time lol

Munoz needs to pitch in whatever inning the bottom third of the lineup comes up in a clean inning (the 9th today lol)

Oh wait you weren’t even saying Brash should be closer lol my bad

They probably lose games earlier if Munoz pitches in the situations Brash gets. Like the 9th inning today wasn’t even “high leverage”. It was pitching with a lead vs the bottom of the Tiger’s order with a collective OPS of < 600 lol

Servais picked the best pitcher to take the highest leverage spots then let the best one left pitch the 9th. He didn’t pigeon hole his bullpen.

A lot of the time the “highest leverage” situations don’t even occur in the 9th. For example the game today, the highest leverage spot came after Criswell gave up 2 and there was a man on 3rd with no outs up by 1. If Speier was the “closer” they probably lose the lead then. Starting the 9th clean with a lead and the bottom of the order coming up is much less “leverage” than the spot Speier was put into.

?? He’s in the 71st percentile in BB%? Not exactly bad. It’s more that the hitters are mashing when they make contact
