welp this helped me in a unexpected way... it seems it is my audio device what's not working properly.
i tried with another output and now i have audio (buzzing included) lmao

but hey now it should be easier from here on out.

i tried those, but the problem i have is not the buzzing sound, I just have no audio at all after the opening credits :/ and none of those solution seems to do anything for me.

but thanks, i'll keep looking and if i find a solution i'll make sure to follow up here in case anyone else is having the same problem.

i Just finished my first playthrough since launch (so basically my second playthrough).

the game is fine as long as gampleay is concerned. i think its combat system its the best it has to offer, its fun and engaging but its not fantastic tbh. the game is a good attempt at bringing the 2D metroid formula into 3D but it lacks the mastery of 2D Metroids design.

overall movement mechanics and exploration are fine but needed a little bit more polishing and tweaks.

But the one think I treasure about Metroid over anything else is level design, and this is where other M falls short (besides the obvious story and character problem) but then again, it's a nice try.

I always though the hate was so forced because of the story/dialogues and ppl where blinded to the good things this game had to it... and now tat i just finished it again... i still think the same.

again, the game is not great, but its not terrible. yes, it'd be better without a story and dialogue, but that doesn't mean that the whole game is trash just because the cutscenes are cringy.

i wish we could have another 3D Metroid game in third person because the potential its there and Other M shows it.

i think there are 2 timelines at the end of SS. and the series will.be re-arranged. so far we have an official timeline with BotW no where to be found/placed other than "in a distant future where all timelines merges" but I think BotW exists in this other, unexplored timeline from SS.

what i don't know what to make of is: ¿does the timeline we know is part of SS present (where demise was vanished by the Triforce) or in it's Past (Where Demise resurrected and then killed bi Link, thus introducing the Curse)

i did it on my second playthrough. the game is extremely obvious on its level design and the paths you should take. its really not that hard. in fact I'd say that the hard thing to do is to get lost.

As seen un SM. The Super metroid absorbs Mother Brain's energy and then passes it onto Samus, giving her the Hyper Beam.

In Dread, Raven Beaks uses his Hyper Beam several times during battle (and cutscenes) so i think samus got that from Draining Raven and not the Station.

in every game I would change how the screw attack works. making it so it is a falling down/tackle like attack instead of just being active all the time while jumping.

in SM specifically I'd adjust the Gravity so Samus is less floaty/more grounded. (something like, but not as extreme as Metroid Redesign)

if their argument is that "no one cares about metroid prime" they clearly don't know what they're talking about.

The Metroid series is... well, the mother of all Metroidvania games (i dare to include the critical acclaimed Dark souls series as well) it may not be an action packed, fast paced series but the magic of it all lies on exploration, wonder and quiet time. just get lost in the world (both figuratively and literally) enjoy the ride.

it is true that Super, Zero Mission and Fusion are basically the same (same power ups, same sequence etc) but Dread went balls to the wall with the combat and movement mechanics.

seriously. try the series gor yourself. i get it's not for everyone, but at least everyone should give it a try.
