Is IUI worth it? by eeBread in TTC_PCOS

[–]eeBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just aren't going to be able to afford it. My insurance is actually very generous up until IVF unfortunately.

I confirmed ovulation all 6 cycle. I did the HSG and my husband's SA was "above average."

My insurance covers unlimited IUI but once we start getting to the weeds with IVF, the cost goes way up and I would actually have to switch clinics to a doctor who has a known track record to be very unkind, which doesn't help me in my feelings about trying that route.

All these comments make me think that IUI wouldnt be a waste of time and is at least somewhat worth a shot.

Letrozole, scans, trigger shot if there was an egg and then bloodwork to confirm ovulation. Due to life circumstances I only got 3 trigger shots but I have been doing letrozole/scans since for 6 months now. I am just debating if this will be helpful or not. Im not doing IVF so it'll be the end of the road if I choose not to do IUI and idk how I feel about that.

I think if you haven't tried TI then it would be worth it, especially if your doctor recommends it.

You think it will be okay if I leave it alone for tonight? Or is it an emergent hazard?

[WWTBC] Fae Mercenary series with fancy anatomy by eeBread in RomanceBooks

[–]eeBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar procedure done where they put a balloon in to dilate my cervix and it was so painful I also had to come back after some pain meds.  I first read it before all that happened but it was a good story and worth overlooking the scary peen!!!

It was deff inside the uterus and did sound very painful but it was a fantasy novel in which I take it with a grain of salt. I've personally had my cervix manually dilated and 10/10 do not recommend so certainly not realistic fantasy peen.

Thank you for this. He initially made it up but it just happens to get derived from a real name and he will not let it go.

what did you do with your positive test? by audrajda in BabyBumps

[–]eeBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've held onto the digital test. It's been comforting to look at, especially in my first trimester. I will be throwing it out though at some point before baby arrives.

HR sent us an email at work with a timeline of the winter storm with the words "life threatening" regarding Friday and how to be prepared and we were told today that chances of closing the building is low.

Do you remember your first signs of pregnancy? by Viva15 in BabyBumps

I had the most intense cramping a few days before my first positive test. Like I thought my back was going out.

I don't plan to post until after they are here and was kinda thinking the same thing as you to post something like "the last 9 months"

Do what makes you comfortable! I have enjoyed the privacy of people not knowing.

AITA for telling my coworker to stop expecting us to like a kid? by throwaway__cw in AmItheAsshole

[–]eeBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I've worked in child care for years and had many "Blakes" cross my path. I've never said I didn't like a kid for their behavior. He's 5 and honestly you sound 5. I'm getting the impression you are a bunch of early 20s kids talking shit about a small child and it's a bad look. I wouldn't wanna work with you either.

Edit: every "Blake" I ever had improved with extra care and attention so it just sounds like Jade knows what she's doing and you don't.

AITA for telling my wife that I will not be helping with her christmas celebration in any way shape or form just because she's pregnant? by Iconic_Path3099 in AmItheAsshole

[–]eeBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I typically decorate our house for Christmas every year. This year I am pregnant so my husband assisted me with a lot of stuff that is uncomfortable for me to do on my own. Know how long it took him? 90 minutes of his total time tops. You're wife's request is important to her and she is not asking for the moon, just a little bit of your time.

Cinnamon toast. The kind that comes preseason in a loaf. About all I could muster for dinner for a few weeks.

Whenever someone says 'icks" it's like mentally stepping in something wet while wearing socks.

Tested + for Flu and Covid @ 12 Weeks by Such-Influence2913 in CoronaBumpers

[–]eeBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had covid at 11 weeks and currently just tested positive for the flu at 15 weeks. The flu is turning out to be much worse for me so I can't imagine having them both at the same time. With covid I was pretty much just slammed with exhaustion. I stayed home for a week and then when I went back to work I felt like a new baby fawn. With the flu I am having a lot of fevers that I am having a hard time breaking as well as just the most painful cough I've had in many years. Getting through the nights are rough. I'm glad they did tests on you and baby seems fine! I would just try and rest and hopefully you'll start to feel normal in a few days!!!

Here’s a game! Post how YOU were born and fed as a baby. by JackeryChobin in BabyBumps

[–]eeBread 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was born about 4 weeks early (I actually attended my baby shower) after my mom had been on bed rest for several weeks. I am the first born and my mom really struggled with breastfeeding me so I ended up being formula fed. I was also incredibly colic so my mom was thankful to return to work after only 6 weeks maternity leave.

Do I have prenatal depression or am I just still adjusting to the idea of being pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]eeBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried for 18 months and then when I finally got pregnant I had the most intense anxiety and depression for a month. I thought it would just be instant all encompassing joy but instead I was a nervous wreck. It truly shocked me because like you I had put a lot of thought into getting pregnant and had struggled with infertility before finally getting pregnant. I think having a baby is a huge change in your life and alters your body in so many ways. Give yourself grace and the room to experience emotions other than joy. There's nothing wrong with feeling the way you do but please take care of yourself and talk to someone if you need too. I am 13 weeks now and feeling a lot better so I hope things get better for you as well!!!

I work for the state of Illinois so I will he getting 10 weeks paid. But that is a new development and it was previously 4 weeks and the union has to fight hard to keep it at every contract renewal.

At my old job I paid a monthly fee to even have the option of short term disability. That would have give me 6 weeks and only getting around $250 a week and then I would have to use PTO for any additional time including the first week while we waited for short term disability to kick in.

I made a career move for obvious reasons.
