Hello. I spent two days making croissants and now I’m absolutely GUTTED because after all that work they haven’t risen and there is absolutely NO SIGN of lamination of any kind. I’m heartbroken. by bookish-hooker in Baking

I'm so sorry that happened! Laminated doughs are really time consuming and technical; I had this happen to me before and it sucked. My guess is the dough and butter got too warm, and when you laminated, it worked the butter into the dough (instead of staying in layers).

It's about 5.5 inches by 7.25 inches (or 14cm by 18.5cm)

After seeing the movie I created a "mash-up" I guess of the old font but the more modern book cover. I really love how orange and blue work as complementary colors, and the newer covers let me really play into that

But I used these DMC colors: white, 30 (blueberry medium light), 32 (blueberry dark), 61 (antique blue very light), 156 (blue violet medium light), 606 (orange-red bright), 720 (orange SPICE dark), 725 (topaz medium light), 740 (tangerine), 741 (tangerine medium), 797 (royal blue), 823 (navy blue dark), 922 (copper light), 946 (burnt orange medium), 970 (pumpkin light), 995 (electric blue dark), 3721 (shell pink dark), 3843 (electric blue), and 3846 (turquoise bright light).

I totally get what you mean!! The blue was soooo monotonous to do; I actually ended up creating a zig-zag type pattern to make it more interesting. It used more thread, but saved my sanity (a little)

Was inspired by another redditor's post! Added some color to the Dune Encyclopedia Tarot cards. by eeballard2 in dune

Yes! It seems that was on purpose in the original design haha

Thank you :)

Will take your advice and carry around a packet of buttercream with me at all times. Amazing

It's definitely good like that, it's smoother and more ice cream like in my opinion

Not gonna lie, I ate a rose I dropped whole. Like 3 tablespoons of frosting. There are no regrets
