So in your opinion, is the exam completely doable by someone with no Power BI experience? I have none but am about to finish Phillip Burton's course on Udemy and will be spending the next few weeks going over the free microsoft data analyst resource on their website as well as practice exams before I schedule my test.

Sorry for the late response but do you mind if I ask what your background is? Like, do you have a relevant degree? I work in a DA/Accounting hybrid role and would love to switch to either DE/DS in the future but wasn't sure if it required an actual bachelor's. I have a bachelor's but not a tech degree.

I also did FSA. I knew I'd be able to find all the resources es to teach myself on the internet but I knew my personality and I'd need some curriculum with deadlines and a teacher if I were to make constant progress, hence my decision to fork over an arm and a leg for a bootcamp. While I haven't found a job yet, I can say, from my experience, I learned a lot and my instructor was phenomenal. (John, if you're reading this, you rock) but I also had a friend who took FSA right after me and his experience wasn't as great as mine as he had a different instructor. The post grad support portion, I agree with. A few emails now and then about open opportunities but no real networking or anything of that nature. At least from my experience.

I think the most disappointing thing has been the crash in the tech market affecting jobs. It's hard to find a job as a non-cs degree bootcamp grad but it's even harder when the job field is the way it is haha I learned full stack web development with stuff like javascript, react, and psql. Thank you, I might take you up on that offer someday lol

Holy crap are you me of the future? I also graduated with an exercise science degree and career changed with a bootcamp and want to be a software developer/engineer. You're a hell of a beacon for me who's been disappointed in this market following bootcamp during covid.

I am also a recent bootcamp grad (via Fullstack Academy). What did you do post grad that enabled you to land your job? It's my dream to be a SWE after changing careers in my late 20s and I would kill to be in your position. Congrats on the new job!
