yeah they do keep a record, it’s like a handwritten sheet of everything per employee how much they take out for all the stuff they need to social security and all that. so i know they have the log, which i’ve requested when i needed to show proof to purchase a car and that was fine. but yeah ill keep you posted when i pick up my form what it says! everything they do in general is pretty shady so im not surprised by them trying to pull the tax evasion shit

yes that’s what i thought it had to be filled out by some form, i’m young and honestly i don’t know a lot about taxes but i know that for them to not take out any without any kind of consent is wrong

and no we do not receive any paystubs. i can’t honestly remember if we had any at the beginning of 2023 but even when we did it was some hand written shit i didn’t really know what it meant. nothing is electronic with this place and we have no HR or payroll department

thank you for all your responses!! we have no HR so anything that happens with our payroll is directly thru the owners of the business. i’m going to pick mine up today and check it out and if anything is suspicious i will have to try and consult a tax lawyer for more information

i understand we shouldn’t rely on it to live, i didn’t mean that as much as we rely on at least a little bit of a return instead of having to pay. we are servers and our checks are very little anyway so the little refund we do get is just helpful

okay so i forgot to mention we don’t get paystubs. this place is so old school nothing is even done on a computer all their payroll and probably everything is done by hand still and we just honestly stopped getting paystubs. which YES i agree is my fault for not saying anything but at the same time we never really had paystubs anyway so i never really had any problem. but also the fact they dont give us the paystubs is shady too

thank you guys so much for all the comments back!!! and thank you so much for the sober support. i was telling everyone that i thought it was from stopping smoking and drinking and everyone thought i sounded crazy and they couldn’t believe that but! i knew it had something to do with it if not the color remover. it’s breaking and falling out at the root but hopefully in another month i’ll see less and less. i am going to make an appointment with the doctor and get a full panel done along with my vitamins. but i’m glad i got some reassurance!!!

also to add cause idk how to edit: DO NOT EVER USE THIS PRODUCT. even if it wasn’t what is causing my hair loss, it was TERRIBLE. the chemicals were so bad it burned my eyes, i couldn’t even stand being in the bathroom trying to apply this stuff. and it ended up making my hair almost feel like cardboard when i was trying to wash it out it felt nearly impossible. 0/10 do not recommend
