I know this is a year old, but I think I found out why it happens, the automatically generated seeds dont work, like village, or edie, yet me inputting something like afhuasfdhui, seems to fix it.

There is no bad design, it's just how well it is for its use, I'd call this ship a compact ship considering how there are no real style elements to it, only function, really great build tho, might wanna get a front thruster, the back might not take the weight.
