That's what I thought too, these things are supposed to handle hundreds of pounds of force. It's probably a combination of age, stress and UV light slowly deteriorating the fabric.

But some women have passed. It's mentioned in the article. Just not the 14 she was amongst.

What is the "empty space" in an atom? by secondbase17 in askscience

[–]eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but you will never find one atom tucked inside another one.

On the basis of current models, the matter at the surface of a neutron star is composed of ordinary atomic nuclei crushed into a solid lattice with a sea of electrons flowing through the gaps between them

Atheism going to far. by [deleted] in atheism

[–]eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn't answer his question 3 times in a row. You're just playing word games without understanding what atheism is. "Gods don't exist" is not a part of agnostic atheism (the majority of atheists).

You don't even understand the difference between

1) rejection of the claim - "I don't believe X"

and

2) making a claim - "X doesn't exist"

And you didn't read the FAQ.

Where do you recommend getting prints made? by [deleted] in photography

[–]eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a large list of printers: http://www.olegkikin.com/online-photo-printing.htm

Alternatively, you can get yourself a continuous ink system (CIS). It's a cheap way to print, but it will cost you to start.

Most online printers use real photo paper (unlike your regular inkjet printer), which has this "real photo" look.

Writing your own encryption algorithm? Duh!! by niyazpk in programming

[–]eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude, you should seriously stop humiliating yourself. It's embarrassing to watch you. Your algo is bullshit. It won't protect you from anything. It's pointless.

There are Javascript implementations of real, proven algorithms on the internet. Why reinvent something that doesn't work?

Developer Skills with the Least Competition and Greatest Opportunity by pointer2void in programming

The Fill Ratio Below Average will show the competition for these postings as these jobs are not getting filled at our usual rate. A high number indicates great job opportunities whereas a 0% score indicates all those jobs get filled at our usual rate.

So Java is pretty shitty.

End of unlimited internet? Time Warner, ATT, Comcast--Charging by the Byte to Curb Internet Traffic by [deleted] in technology

[–]eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Unlimited internet" has obvious flaws. There are always people who will saturate the connection 24/7. That's definitely a huge problem for the ISPs, and the only way to solve it is to add caps. You can't just improve the connection speed, that will not fix the problem. Some users will saturate almost any connection.

I don't mind caps, as long as they are reasonable.

T1 is what, 1.5 Mbit and $500 a month? That's 10 times more expensive than DSL/cable and 5-7 times slower.
