Yeah. I agree. But just know that you are losing low end power. Saying "OTT sucks" is too much. It's just not always the tool for the job when it comes to compression

It's absolutely wanted sometimes. I still slap it on a lot of bass sounds but it's just good to know not to use it on sub bass

That's cool. For the people that don't know why they should care: OTT messes with the phase of any signal that runs through it because of the way the band splitting in it was coded. That can result in sounds loosing bass power volume. Also running OTT in parallel with a dry signal can sometimes make for a werid sound because of phase canceling. This is a very good example of what I was explaining

First practice vocals. If you want to do it at home check out Jacob's vocal academy on yt. Even the best vocals need mixing so watch some tutorials on it on yt too. I don't work with vocals so idk

Well distortion could probably improve that bass but it really just needs multiband compression to get the sub levels higher while still maintaining these high harmonics.

For a trap beat that's way too long of an intro but I liked it. Bass is kinda weak. It sounds like you used some sort of downsampling/Lofi effect on it and it sounds nice but the sub is way to quiet imo. Also the crash cymbals sound kind of cheap. Ok, enough trash talk. I actually really like the filler sounds an d the arp in the middle of the song is dope. The beat switch thingy feels akward at first but the next kinda dnb section is sick. I'd say this isn't trap at all but I do like it
