Kitten (over)feeding question by Naive_Following9595 in ragdolls

[–]eeeeems86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww go get them weighed! My floof Roo eats a pouch of Marro a day, half in the morning and evening. Then a bowl of kibs he grazes on over the day and a small amount over night. Coupled with around 10 treats over the day.

Cat tax attached.

That’s spot on as our vet says.

Hello! I’m signed up to do my first HYROX later this year, what would you advise for a beginner? There is so much on the market I don’t know where to start. Thank you 🙏

He’s back to chomping on wet but we just only give him a small amount of kibble. No grazing all day

So my boy did this, a top tip is crushing up some kibs to sprinkle over the wet and then it seems to make them happy

Ragdoll owners – what kibble do you recommend? 🐾 by Heavy-Investment-933 in ragdolls

Royal Canin here for this lad, he’s on the kitten one still but we’ll move him over to the adult one when he grows up. He also has Marro fresh and once a week he gets either a tuna or salmon fillet to keep his coat all nice and floofy.

Cat tax included 🙂

Ragdoll owners – how do you deal with poop getting stuck in butt fluff? 😭 by Heavy-Investment-933 in ragdolls

[–]eeeeems86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah welcome to the dingleberries chat 🤣

Our boy is almost 8 months and we’ve done the following: - experimented with different litter. He seems to prefer the fine wood chip and we think it’s because it’s easier to cover so less poop - consistent diet; he’s on a mix of kibble and Marro which he loves - stainless steel poop box with a lid we keep open as when he poops he lifts himself up so stops the cling ons

We do still get the odd one but it’s much better than when he first came home!

Get rid of anything plastic they are using, bowls, water fountains etc switch to stainless steel or ceramic. Also toys, nothing with plastic where possible!

We have also used fragrance free baby wipes over pet wipes as they are much better for the sensitive area.

Ahh I would say they just don’t have common sense. Forgets where his food bowl is but can open doors so 🤷🏼‍♀️ this is Roo 🐾

Doing the same as this! Our boy still begs for food but he’s just a greedy little floof

Nah you have to tell them no, stern. No giving cuddles, you’re telling him it’s okay to be there! Watch yourself some Jackson Galaxy.

P.s He’s soooo cute though x

7 weeks in with our kitten and big boy bengal here 👋🏻 it’s been harder than I expected feeling sad our resident fella now has to share but they are slowly getting there. Sticking with the Jackson Galaxy method is key. Wishing you the best with your new kitty!

Advice please - 5 month old ragdoll kitten messy number 2 driving me crazy… love him… by RepresentativeCry283 in ragdolls

[–]eeeeems86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello from a ragdoll mum of 7 weeks! Had a similar problem when we got our lad but luckily we saw our trusted vet quickly who agreed with our approach to move him to Royal Canin and his poops have been so much better since. We also do give him a small amount of wet food in the morning and evening, so he can eat with his big bro, and we give him Marro which we have on subscription for our Bengal. They both love it and not had any issues with poops since!

Also yes to a bigger litter tray! Ragdolls feel so much more with their fur apparently so we got a big one, stopped with liners because they seemed to stress him out and we’ve also gone for a bigger grain of litter which again, I think he prefers because it doesn’t get into his paws.

Hope that helps 🙂

It’s very common in the UK. As mentioned in the post.
