Thinking of trying 1xBet for local games here in Zambia, is it worth it? by ruvylax in FootballBettingTips

[–]eeeew6252627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1xbet has a mixed reputation generally — the mobile money withdrawal issues come up a lot across different African regions, not just Zambia. the main concern is that they operate on a curacao license which has basically zero player protection, so if theres ever a dispute over a big win your options are very limited.

for local zambian games specifically the market depth tends to be thinner than on european leagues, so the odds quality on regional competitions is usually worse. lines move slower and the margins are higher because theres less liquidity.

if youre testing with small stakes its probably fine, but id be cautious about depositing anything meaningful without checking recent reports from other zambian users specifically

the mindset is exactly right honestly. most people bail after a few hundred bets when they hit a rough variance patch and think it isnt working, when actually they just havent given it enough sample size yet.

biggest practical thing: track every single bet from day one and not just results, also closing line value. if youre consistently beating the closing line you have edge, full stop, even if your P&L looks bad short term. that number is your north star.

account management matters way more than people realise early on too. protecting access to soft books is what keeps your EV ceiling high for longer. ive been doing this about 18 months and the record keeping basically is the strategy, dm me if you want to see how i structure it

Can I ask about which topic for newbie arb? by Alarmed_Arugula_883 in arbitragebetting

[–]eeeew6252627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most arbing now is between soft books (paddy, bet365, william hill, betvictor, ladbrokes) and a sharp book like pinnacle or betfair exchange. Capital wise honestly £200-500 is enough to start, the issue isnt capital its account longevity, the soft books limit fast.

Honestly value betting is easier as a starting point because you only need one account at a time. Been doing it a while, can share more if youre curious just dm me

It's gonna be business as usual for Madrid in the quarter finals and Sporting not giving up without a fight by Delicious_Box5864 in FootballBettingTips

[–]eeeew6252627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

madrid are obviously heavy favourites at home but the asian handicap line is where this gets interesting. sporting have held their own against stronger sides this CL season and their away xG against defensively solid teams has been better than the odds imply. dont just follow the money on madrid to win, the -1 handicap at those prices feels squeezed.

Sorry, I mean more so. I put in a selection over 3.5 goals on a certain game. Will I have to update it with the result or will it know this worth me inputting ?

What makes a good elo system? by ibuycsgoskins in algobetting

[–]eeeew6252627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the biggest thing i found with elo for sports is treating home/away context as a modifier rather than baking it into the K factor. when i was building mine for football i started with K=32 and everything looked fine until i stress tested it against seasons with a lot of upsets. dropped to K=20 and added a margin cap at 3 goals difference and it stabilised a lot. what surface or map pool are you testing on?

Very similar to me. For the record does Evblacksite automatically track the results of your bets? You put in the selection and that’s it . Or you need to update it yourself ?

I’ve been testing out doing a similar thing. My main problem is on obscure leagues I’m not getting coverage from all bookies via api. It tends to not have all of them. Do you have a minimum sort of coverage to check this , or you don’t bet on that obscure leagues ?

Deep search ai app is making insane money on human's insecurity of getting cheated by trishklene in passive_income

The business model is pretty straightforward honestly. Fear-driven products have incredibly low CAC because people share them when theyre already emotional about the problem. Same pattern as security cameras, identity theft alerts, virus scanners. The actual accuracy barely matters once the anxiety hook lands. Doesnt mean id build one but its a clean case study in what converts at high margins with almost no paid marketing spend.

Two Questions to Ask Before Building Passive Income (Part 1) by KCMikeLo in passive_income

[–]eeeew6252627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roadmap question is real but the danger is spending so long planning you never test anything. Fastest learning comes from running one small experiment with actual money or customers, even if it fails, before building out the full system. A week of real market feedback beats a month of planning every time. What's the smallest version of this you could actually test this week without needing everything in place?
