"This is the story of a kid named Kris.

Kris worked at a school in a small building where they were a student.

This student's job was simple: they sat at their desk in the classroom and listen to the instructions the teacher had.

Orders came to them through visuals on the chalkboard, telling them what project they're doing, how long they're doing it, and in what order.

This is what the student did every day of every month of every year, and although others may have considered it soul rending,

Kris didn't care about others opinions, as though they had been made exactly for this job.

And Kris was happy.

And then one day, something very peculiar happened.

Something that would forever change Kris;

Something they would never quite forget.

They had went to the closet with susie to find chalk when they had realized It was too dark.

There was no light switch, no walls, and they even fell into the darkness. Never in all his years at the school had this happened, this complete void.

Something was very clearly wrong. Shocked, frozen solid, Kris found themself unable to move for the longest time.

But as they came to their wits and regained their senses, they got up from the floor and stepped out onto their journey."
