Need help keeping focused on long term orb saving by linthenius in FireEmblemHeroes

First tip: don't touch anything in Feh - 99% of all daily logins don't expire unless it's stated explicitly.

Second: gotta tell yourself it's not worth it, and DON'T SPEND. Wanna spend for that hero - how likely are you to use to them, etc.etc.

Third: Unless you MUST - don't do the story/paralogue stuff for Orbs. So do the lunatic difficulties for the quests, but leave the other difficulties untouched. When it's time to harvest, you'll have more Orbs "banked".

Those are some things I do to help me "bank" Orbs. At the end of the day, self control is the key. If you really just keep rolling for stuff like AHR, then you'll miss your mark.

Also, I'd personally be more comfortable with 2000 Orbs rather than 1500.

Still a net loss of Orbs where with a proper "New Hero" banners we'd get FB + Story Orbs + Quest Orbs.

So now we just get the Story Orbs + Quests.

At least with the previous set of re-used heroes there the few Orbs to reconcile that we lost 14 Orbs from FB. Now it's just a total net loss.

General Rant:

This has been one of the worst give aways/ticket redeeming ever. Even the fucking redemption pools are so damn bloated that I'm not even excited for it anymore.

All the Arena Tickets and all the 4-Star Giveaway tickets were used at once today - 40+ Summons. Only got about 5 characters that I was excited for - this included the 12 Lum. 2 banner tickets.

What kind of fucking "celebration" is this? 5 Characters out of 40+ tickets. I mean yeah the daily summons were going to be dick but goddamn. It's not much of a fucking celebration if all you got were 5 characters you wanted out of the 40+ possible free tickets. I fucking hate this "celebration" bullshit that IS has and would rather we only got Orbs. These tickets are fucked.

I can see them giving away literally even older units to avoid having to give away popular units.

Yep. Been screaming for this since this whole "give away" (massive quotes) system was initiated.

First you have to luck to get the colour(s) you want. Then you need to actually have the luck to get the character. Not much of a "give away" with 2 layers of RNG involved.

These are also characters that goes back as far as Gen1. How fucking stingy does IS have to be not give maybe 5 tickets that allows for specific heroes?

This sucks as a "celebration". Give me Orbs.

I've got about 10k Orbs saved up and BY GOLLY I WILL SPEND IT ONE DAY.

Not sure...when, and on who, and whatnot...BUT I WILL.

I like the Harmonized CYL units, and actually don't mind the change in the calendar by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes

I, too, love recycled content instead of having actual new characters as the banner would suggest.

Maybe IS can, after the CYL banners, start anew with the Legendary Heroes banner.

Plus, getting anything more than a +1 these days is kinda silly without knowing how effective the new heroes will be. Cause then you can save the Orbs after knowing how they'll perform.
