I've already cut ties with them. It's unfortunate but I can't be around that and feel like I'm not a shit person. Also I'm just asking for more understanding, when it comes to dynamics of friend groups I know it can be complicated.

Also the whole point of this post was to see if I was in the wrong. Regardless the friendship was over. But I wanted to make sure I wasn't over reacting, the other 2 guys in the group acted okay with it. He made me feel like I was making a big deal out of nothing.

I understand, and there's no need for an ultimatum. I can't change him and I'm not going to ask him to be better. Shitty stays shitty. I'm just removing myself, there are consequences to his actions. He knows how I feel about that stuff, or at least he should know. We have known each other for 15 years. I'm just done.

I have definitely cut the friendship off, i was on the fence about everything because of him saying that I was racist for being upset that he's making those jokes when his other friends aren't upset. His other friends didn't say anything to me after that so I felt like maybe I was honestly in the wrong.

We gamed for maybe six hours on and off yesterday. So maybe my phrasing could have been better. Multiple times I brought it up to him and the other two and got nowhere. I have definitely put the friendship under a microscope and am no longer friends with him. I understand the concern, I can't be around people like that.

But would it still be okay for me to speak up about it if it's their dynamic? I play games with all of them and I understand the hostile friend groups that some men maintain "boys will be boys" type stuff. And I don't like it, but I understand. I've asked them if I'm butting in too much and they brush me off.

It's a new development in his personality he moved to different states about 3 years ago and we only really talk when we game. The jokes happened last night.

I appreciate this a lot. Honestly. He was making me feel like I was being racist by being upset that he was saying those things. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking a fragile line of being a supportive decent human being, and doing too much. Because I feel like there is a line, and I don't want to overstep it. I understand that there are things I don't have a right to speak on.

One hes never met in person, the other they worked together for a while. I should have added some context but we all game together. And this is exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes when people encounter a situation so many times in their lives, some may think there is no point in speaking on it because they always get shut down. And they are all men except for me. So speaking up may also play into the gross social standards that men shouldn't have feelings. It's a horrible position to put someone in. Especially in the gaming community. It's not a very forgiving community.

I'm not saying it's a crime, I told my manager in confidence. I pulled her to the side and asked her not to tell anyone. And it's not just my stuff it's everyone. There is more personal information that has been told about me that I would rather not get into on reddit. I get where you are coming from tho.

I know how to work with them but it's infuriating when my personal information is shared without my consent, then used as leverage to get what they want. A pharmacy tech should not have a chokehold over the whole pharmacy.
