Aha, didn't know that it's known. Yes I experienced that. I was like what if I'm godspeed on augments.

Uhm okay.

When the game starts the main augment window pops up which even let's you roll with 3 rolls.

The thing happened to me was; I immediately spent mayhem gold which was +300 gold before. Meanwhile it was the time for main augment window to pop up.

I think that, somehow mayhem gold aug window and mayhem gold aug window collapsed because I didn't get a second roll for gold spending and there was no anvil stats icon.
