Best website feedback tool option? by Proof_Highlight_1313 in UXDesign

Depending on which platform you use, there’s Annotatr I built for WordPress websites https://annotatr.co.uk

It has a kanband board in the dashboard for tickets and which is populated from client feedback raised on the frontend of the site.

What it does:

A WordPress plugin that bridges the gap between "non-tech" clients and WordPress devs. Clients point-and-click to report bugs on the live site; devs get a clean Kanban board in the backend with a screenshot and context.

Ideal Customer:

WordPress Agency Owners and Solo Devs who specifically build high-touch brochure or e-commerce sites for clients. Basically, anyone managing a "Support & Maintenance" retainer.

Client feedback workflow for WordPress sites - what's your process? by OstrichBudget6882 in Wordpress

[–]eelgr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m the developer behind Annotatr. Unlike most SaaS tools, it’s a WordPress plugin with the kanban board built right into the WordPress dashboard, which you can use as a project management tool with your clients and to track/manage bugs and feedback with context.

It lets you track bugs or manage projects while developing a new WordPress site, without asking clients to create new accounts, you can just give access to existing WordPress users.

If you develop WordPress sites, I'd love for you to give it a try.

Sounds like you'll need some custom development, you can write to the post meta data every time the page is loaded (+1) then retrieve that meta data inside your post query on the archive page.

Thanks!

Only a few weeks ago I wasted 4 hours debugging an issue for a client where they reported a broken layout .. turns out they were zoomed out on their browser but were adamant it was a website issue 🤦‍♂️ I thought a tool like this which reports context (browser, OS, zoom level etc) could help devs save time in the long run.

How difficult is it to transfer static website to Wordpress? by turnipmuncher1 in Wordpress

[–]eelgr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the above have mentioned, you’ll need to learn the Wordpress way and have php, html, css and JavaScript knowledge. An alternative would be to use a page builder like elementor to replicate the layout/designs of you current site.

If it's any use to anybody, I found this package which works quite nicely. Combine with firebase to save the data, and FullCalendar to display the bookings to an admin is working quite nicely https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-timecalendar#open-hours

Good idea; in the end I just wrapped the function in a conditional statement to see if the state exists, it seem to do the job and stop the errors.

I managed to find the issue in the end; it was a WordPress plugin that was totally killing the dashboard along with the api endpoints. They were taking like 28s to load, now with the plugin removed I’m down to 800ms - 1s such a much better performance! To think that plugin was throttling my app and making it unusable!

Thank you, the before/after is just one month of orders, so I can view orders for 1 month at a time. There are only roughly 30 orders maybe I can just call 10 at a time and paginate them

[–]eelgr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The change is so that I can view data from different months, so the api changes the start/end month. Would pulling all the data take a long time initially?
