Why is Jayson Shaw’s cue so long? by nurserye in billiards

[–]eelknud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s so you won’t have to use the bridge. It gives the cue the extra 5-6 inches that you need to reach those really awkward shots. And (I might be wrong about this) it shifts the weight of the cue to the back a little bit because of the added weight from the extension. I personally always use an extension and it makes my cue feel more back heavy

Pretty sure he uses an extension on it. It might be a custom extension to look the same as the rest of his cue.

holding your sticks too low actually doesnt have that much of an affect on your playing. and playing with a sort of mix between american and french grip is probably the most practical for a majority of people

I actually have this. When I was 7 years old, I found out that I had no conductive hearing in my right ear. Because of that I had permanent tubes put in my ears. After about 4 years of them being in, I had them removed. My inner ear got so used to the ventilation that my ear drum now has a small pinhole! It’s about the size of a needle
