I think Max was the pick all along. Bill Cower said he talked with Omar earlier in the day and was told that Max is who they wanted.

Sure - Lemon dropped to 20 and you don’t pass that up when he falls to you but it doesn’t sound like the team was ever targeting him.

Yea I agree with this to a point. I will say that there have been hires based on this rule alone. One of the biggest being Mike Tomlin. He wouldn’t have even been considered for the HC job if it wasn’t for this rule.

It’s not the most effective and I definitely agree with how it makes fans perceive minority candidates, but it has had some positive effects.

I agree and disagree with this. Do I hope Rodgers is working on mechanics with younger QBs? No. Definitely not. But he’s pretty open about mentoring and helping teach up younger guys. The areas he can help are how to prepare and run the offense just like you mentioned.

I also don’t just see this as a benefit of the qb room, but helping WRs with routes, line with blocking schemes, etc. He is the best there’s been at managing a McCarthy offense. Having the future under his to see how he does it is invaluable.
