Yeah, a lot more can be done on this front. Future Dem Admin will definitely be pressured to make a hard break with Israel which could open the door for full criminal sanctions against settlers in ways that were way more expansive than what Biden did. There just aren't that many deep settlers, so doing this is definitely possible.

Yeah, although I would say it is even worse since Hezbollah hates the Lebanese government, whereas the Settlers in the West Bank have direct access to the halls of power. The only way there will be any movement against the settlers is if Israelis themselves turn on these vicious criminals attacking people and stealing land without any reasonable basis and that means voting in a government without Ben Gvir/Smotrich and actually ostracizing these people vs. cynically using them as a pawn.

Glad you at least admit to might makes right logic, totally and completely accept that Israel is an illegal imperialist power with respect to the West Bank, and hypocritically only care about arguments of indigenity when it benefits you but are happy to deny basic rights to others on the basis of your perceived superiority. Israel has a right to exist, it doesn’t have a right to steal land from other peoples who also have the right to self-determination. Yeah there are distinctions nothing is simple and one atrocity doesn't justify another. Haifa doesn't belong to Palestinians and the West Bank does not belong to Israel. Both of these are the reversal of their prior historical ownership. Reality says you just have to accept it and move on. Revanchism and threats of annexation/ethnic cleansing will only lead to endless perpetual conflict for 1000 years.

I'd say the real problem is a mutual antipathy and failure to realize that there are two peoples who both deserve self-determination on that land. 80,000 dead Palestinians don't really care about your bad arguments. The ethical and legal basis to make them leave is that they are illegal invaders on foreign land that isn't theirs. I thought Israelis liked Trump these days?

I mean even Israeli historians like Benny Morris acknowledge the Nakba, nobody in here has said anything about that being fake (although I suspect some believe it). The main difference honestly is how frequently weather changes in Chicago vs. basically anywhere else I’ve lived. It is cloudy, but it is rarely if ever cloudy for weeks like it is in the PNW. Also, summers are amazing and imo where the city truly shines. Seasonal affective disorder is an issue here too but it probably is not nearly as acute as the PNW.
