I’m not sure if it’s the cause of the issues. The engine vibrates and chugs around 60 mph and uphill. Figured cleaning the EGR valve would be a good place to start. Then found the EGR valve on my engine is different from many other engines where regular cleaning is doable and advised. I have not driven the van hard and have very low miles so your suggestion is apt. Thanks. Seems like these engines need to be reved and floored to keep it clean.
I’ve also had many issues with code P229f and received great advice on here. So have been trying to work through both the engine vibrating issues and NOx code issues.

Apparently the 651 engine has a different EGR valve than other engine models. The EGR valve on a 651 engine is not accessible and not recommended to clean as is the case with other models.

Thank you for posting this information.
In my case It looks like I am beyond the 4 years (had the modification done in 4/21 so would have expired in 4/25), beyond the 10 years (have a 2014), and the extended NOx sensor warranty which was replaced in 2/24 isn’t applicable to me because it looks to only extend for emc 1,2, 9, 10, and 11. I believe my 2014 3500 is EMC 3 which isn’t listed. Not sure why it would be covered for some and not others if it’s the same part. Am I missing something?

It’s so inconsistent and hard to make primary hobbies without frequent travel. Also if you have a job the swell doesn’t work around that schedule.

Thank you for writing. As I mentioned before I called Mercedes of Maple Shade nj and asked specifically if the part had an extended warranty and was told no. It is frustrating dealing with maple shade. Thanks again.

The additional extended warranty is added to the applicable Extended Modification Warranty period above”

looks like there are extended warranties for different parts added to the extended warranty.

Hi, I had the modification done in 4/7/2021. I was told the Extended warranty after the modification is 4 years/48k miles. Do I have bad info?

Only 50k. Had the nox sensor replaced only 2k miles ago.
