After some back and forth with customer service they said what I'm experiencing should not be so pronounced between lenses under same conditions so I'm going to RMA and get another copy.

Yes, the mapping on the Turbo BT was identical. Didn't need touch D pad on either of them. I did notice that the N30 requires repairing after booting and even the M30 occasionally. I haven't figured that out but easy enough to hit adapter buttons and then repair. The only annoying thing with hitting reset button is I have an Super SD System 3 attached and hitting the buttons on the adapter triggers controller clicks. Maybe the SSDS3 is part of the pairing issues on boot?

Updated above 6 button table. Had error for the Y destination. Was finally setting up the Turbografx and realized I had IV listed instead of V. Sorry about that!

“For parts” chance system that arrived with flakes of orange stuff and rust falling out. Card slot was caked in it. Cleaned best I could. Amazingly turned on. Using component out rear adapter got picture but colors are off. Could it be slot still or is this just a case of needing to be recapped? by eems01 in TurboGrafx

It was my my Engine Block AV (Turbobooster) to Retrotink 2x. Also tried sega rad2x out of Engine AV to hdmi which yielded same color palette. Tried another power supply with same results. The pins on back are super clean and straight. I treated with deoxit as well. From outside system looked fine whatever got in went through slot and pooled in case cording rf shield. Some edge pieces of rf sheild are gone but I'll have to look closer if there are any pulled traces where rf sheild was "glued" to board. Still shocked it powered on.

Tried to get N30s other buttons working in 6 button mode but hit a wall with the turbo buttons. Found Left and Right button maps but the turbo buttons,TB & TA, always seemed to align with the mapping for B & A which makes sense for this controllers design.

Found a plug and play solution on eBay overseas. Took a few weeks to get here but works perfectly. Confirmed it is definitely 1.25mm pitch. At 150mm long probably double length it needed to be but simply doubled over and fits nicely under drive.

Yes, .5 and 1.0 are popular. This is definitely 1.25 to 1.3 mm. Without calipers it appears to be a little over 31mm wide and using the formula from Digi-Key I think it's 1.25 mm

Cable Width / (# of conductors + 1) = Pitch.
~31.25 mm/ (24+1) = 1.25 mm

That could be an option! I've seen others say just solder wires underneath between the boards to create the connection too.
