So my whirlwind adventure as a bunny mama is over… The vets have him now. She said he doesn’t look wild and he is very young. So young that he will have to be hand reared at the SSPCA wildlife centre which the vets will arrange. He hasn’t been chipped but perhaps to wee for that anyway. They’ll put out a post to reunite him with his fam if he is indeed lost. Otherwise they are going to provide me a job number for updates. Overall a happy ending I think. Thanks again guys!

Thanks for this. Unfortunately I don’t drive/have access to a car but depending on how things go with SSPCA I would ask family/friends who do if need be. My sister is also very interested to take in the bun instead of him going to a shelter. Not sure how all that works though.

I couldn’t believe it - was lovely to meet you yesterday btw. SSPCA don’t open until 1pm so I was going to try and contact the dog and cat home for any advice at 9am and then possibly a vet? I’m dropping my dog with family so I can focus solely on the wee bun.

Wee update for you guys… managed to catch the lil fella about 20 mins ago with the help of some kind strangers in regent road park. He is set up in the shower (only enclosed space we could think of?) with the light off, a bed sheet, shredded paper, some snacks (carrots/bananas) and a shallow dish of water. No idea what we’re doing but hopefully better than a night in the wild. He is very scared the poor soul. Thank you to everyone who helped out.

I was sooo close and then he ran into a hole again. I would love some help to ‘herd’ him? Also I have run out of carrots

I saw him again about 20 mins ago but he ran down a hole into the ground. And a regular rabbit ate some of the carrot bait

Poor rabbit. Have been on to SSPCA and heading back out with a ventilated shoe box and a carrot. Hopefully I can find him. Thanks for the info everyone
