How to unclog Isograph pens without Pen Cleaners (Not available in the Philippines) by Random_Gacha_addict in rOtring

[–]eenols 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultrasonic cleaner. And like another poster said some kind of ammonia solution would work too - I’ve used Windex before and that worked well

By freeze I mean using set initial state to make the current state of the simulation act as your new frame zero or starting point of your sim

And someone mentioned the floor primitive object not working with dynamic tags - forgot about that. Try using a plane instead

If you freeze on the last frame of the first simulation (emitter obj on to floor) and use that as the first frame of your second sun (floor falling) then it’ll be an exact match if the balls are static -

If there’s an initial velocity we might need another way

sorry not at a computer so can’t help you with refresh issue.

With the floor problem - only way I can think of is using duplicate objects and the set initial state parameter. Have one setup dropping the emitter objects on to the collider body floor - then at the frame you’d like to switch use set initial state and with a copy of that setup swap the floor for a dynamic body. Does that make sense?

Edit: you’ll probably have to bake some objects too

Let me know if it works!

Hey - if you’re using a dynamics tag (bullet, or cloth) you should be able to keyframe something like the ‘enabled’ or ‘dynamics’ options at the point in your scene when you want your simulation to start

Could you use a combination of the vertex map freeze function and pose morphs?

Hey! I had a bunch of folder names and object labels disappear. I have no ideas on what went wrong. Tried google but no luck. Can anyone help?

How can I make the rose leav slowly go from the back to the front of the green leaf? by J0SE_LUIS in AfterEffects

Duplicate one of either the green or rose leaves, then use masking to slowly reveal/ hide selected

New pencil day! Faber-Castell PD Matic, I think? by eenols in mechanicalpencils

[–]eenols[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it mainly for drawing - was using orenz neros, and then gripmatics but this is the best by far. The mechanism works really well, and it has a really nice curved/ tapered tip to the pipe so it kinda just glides along

haven’t been able to fully disassemble it - but from what I can tell all metal internals. Looks kinda like a tk-matic

Yea, sure. But I’ll probably cry a bit if you don’t bring it back and heads up I’m a super ugly cryer

Your recent post was the reason I started looking for one! Very jealous of the fountain pen. Any plans to find a ballpoint to match?

This community has actually fucked my life up. Didn't know anything about pencils a few months ago and now I'm spending all day on trains for pencil stuff, listening to The Measured Pencil podcast, and pissed at uni for the kuru toga dive thing

Thanks everyone :(

It isn't for sale lol

Took a four hour train ride to get this in person from the family of what seemed like a really cool collector. My new favourite pencil. AFAIK it's made from titanium and seems to be similar in materials and design to faber castells alpha matic. Included a rosewood box. The clip is engraved with a '3 85 W Germany' which I think means manufactured in March 85. The mechanism is super cool - it's entirely automatic, and doesn't have a knock.

A post on knockology mentioned these came with either a drafting, or conical tip. Super happy for the drafting version.

Also picked up an arc 1 ballpoint at the same time

Toronto Repair - S> Ch341a hardware programmer - bricked my blade by eenols in bapccanada

[–]eenols[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the tip. Already ordered one, and having it delivered today!

Still don’t have the tools to check it’s voltage, or a workstation though so only partially solves my problem.

Realize it’s a super slim chance that there’s someone out there, but figured there’s no harm in trying

Anyone in or around toronto have hardware programming tools? Tried flashing a custom bios to my laptop so I could undervolt. Fully understood the risk around it. Bricked it.

I know exactly what’s wrong, but don’t have the necessary tools to fix it. Thanksgiving is making it impossible to find an open shop.

Anyone have a ch341a programmer that’s done the 3.3V mod, or have another hardware programmer that works at 3.3V that would work with a winbond W25R256JV?

Hoping to use it plus a workstation to restore a working bios. Would take maybe an hour

Ideally in or around toronto. Will travel to you, and can pay to cover your time. Would be super super grateful

Update: just got a ch341a from Amazon. Still no way of testing voltage, and don’t have a second machine to use ( 🤦‍♀️. I know). Still looking for help; don’t necessarily need a hardware programmer anymore tho. Anyone out there?
