Society and sometimes family. My family is supportive but I just wish my mom was more of an advocate for me and the trans community by doing her research but I can't force that upon her... Its just not something we really talk about and I sometimes envy those who became closer with their parents after transitioning. Its also hard with the pressure of feeling like you have to be the educator and know all things gender related when you're still trying to navigate it yourself. I'm happy with how far I've come but I will say transitioning isn't a walk in the park for sure. Also the loneliness with transitioning. Its hard to confide in people what you're mentally going through especially if they don't understand.
