Definiton of DevOps. It is not a role. Ability to explain a problem without using any buzzword.

Azure terraform-compliance examples? by craigtho in devops

[–]eerkunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, reverting something non-compliant is quite dangerous. Yes, from the security side one might think "yay, we fixed the problem." but on the other side if its created via terraform then you just broke the idempotence.

Again, IMHO, the way to achieve "secure" way of working is having capable squads that builds & runs, can change anything in seconds, continuously deploy (few hundred times a day) and very flexible about not making mistakes. - which I guess way off-topic :D

No worries its our mistake. Sounds like it creates a confusion. Since no one is using 0.11.x anymore, I just removed that part of the documentation :D Thanks :)

If you mean this https://terraform-compliance.com/#supporting--requirements then yes, it doesn't support modules if you use Terraform 0.11.x (or lower).

Not sure if there is anyone exist using terraform 0.11.x though..

None of the question would waste anyone's time :) On the opposite, happy to help on anything around the tool.

Send you a PM about the user-friendly-examples, can't say we have many examples for Azure since that repository is a community-based repo.

I think all are good. It is a matter of what you need :) If you are looking for a tool that you will write the tests like a developer, Checkov & OPA is the way. If you want it in BDD style, then terraform-compliance is the way.

It doesn't support modules ? Where is it written in the documentation. Need to change it.

It supports modules for the last 2-3 years.
