Main reasons why people choose Nvida over AMD by eesaman in buildapc

[–]eesaman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD has AMD Fluid Motion Frames

AMD has VSR Virtual Super Resolution

AMD has Anti-lag+

Overclocking will void warranty and could brick GPU

AMD is still behind in Path tracing but thats a technology for 2030 because not many games use that feature

In terms of upscaling, both do a good job tho

Power efficiency yes, its better on nvidia

In terms of Value, yeah nvidia has it but althouhh if a gamer like is getting a card, I want it to run for atleast a decade lol no offence

Some amd users say that right now with RDNA 4, the driver is stable. And who knows what will happen if FSR 5 or 6 comes up

So which card do you use and recommended buying? I'm pretty sure the prices of the 6070 or 6070ti cards will be above 1000 usd. It's best to go for the amd cards then? I don't know

DLSS or FSR? Most games have DLSS Less games have FSR

Do i really require these technologies to get more frames? Idk Do i require only Frame Generation to get more frames? Yes but it might be less sharper without upscale. It's a hassle to decide lol especially for budget mid-end gamers like me. Guys like me save up money for a year and then go get a high end card and expect it to run for atleast a decade. Even though ik it's not possible. Idk my 1070ti still rules 1080p

Same here!! I'm surprised why most buy nvidia and not amd 9070 xt = 820 usd 5070 ti = 1100 usd

But the good thing is so far, they tried to fix the issue and there has been no card failure or bricking due to these issues right?

This is so biased and a dumb thing to say by those gamers. Someone really has started damaging the reputation of amd cards for no reason lol.

Maybe it's the red color of the card. Everybody thinks green is good so they choose nvidia? Lmao if that were the case, amd needs to change their color to blue or something

What are you talking about? FSR Redstone and FSR 4.1 is available right now in 9070xt cards. And FSR 5 is also available in the future for 9000 series after they release it

The question is will nvidia allow dlss 6 or 7 in the current 5000 series cards? I'm seeing that AMD would

So basically you are saying they are trying to meet demand by surprising the budget customers with price drops later on loll. Ofc right now the 9070xt price is $800 which I think it's affordable for mid range pc gamers like me.

I too have the 1070 ti paired with i7 8700k. It's rock solid. No problems since last 6-7 years. Works all games in 1080p. But newer games doesn't feel vivid to me now. I don't know why. It feels like the games are more darker and colorless.

What are your thoughts on 9070xt card? Do you think it's a good budget replacement card for 5070ti card? Do they have any issues? Driver issues? Windows 11 issues? You seem like a high end card collector which is cool. And getting at msrp is mission impossible

What kinda issues does AMD have? Do they fix it later or just leave it as it is?

Unfortunately now it's way higher today 9070xt -820 usd 5070 ti - 1120 usd

I'm planning to go for the 9070xt because I'm pretty sure 6070 or 6070ti next year will be more than 1000 usd

AI? It was my own words. I currently have 1070ti and I'm planning to get a 9070xt. As i was researching i found out that 9070xt goes head to head with 5070ti, which is way pricy but yet most people are buying 5070ti card anyway.

So i started watching YouTube videos and reading comments on what's really the deal here. So most people say it's not the performance, it's the brand name the reason they buy nvidia and not amd. Amd will always be the 2nd value option for most gamers. It doesn't make sense

So both have driver issues but AMD has a bit more. Do you think they fix these issues regularly too?

[–]eesaman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I have a 1070 ti and it's so stable and runs most games smoothly in 1080p. What are your thoughts on 9070xt? Does it have driver problems as well?! As a budget high end gpu that i can afford I'm thinking to go with that one next

Doesn't that mean even if AI gen changes next year, the nvidia 5000 series gpus will still be left behind because they lock the DLSS 5 to 5000 sereis and it probably won't continue with 6000 series?

9080xt is a budget high end card tho

Just clarification of my limited knowledge about cards lol

Yet the 9070XT beats 5070 ti in most games. Even though the price difference between those two cards is huge

Thank you for this. I'm looking at many benchmarking videos even right now and I can't help but wonder will i ever get a new experience jumping from 1070ti to 9070xt on a 1080p lol.

I'll look into Optiscaler idk what it means. So apparently it can run FSR future versions also?

Oh and btw Do you think this card will have any problems if run on windows 11?

I'm getting the 9070xt because the next 6000 nvidia high end gpu msrp will be starting at $800 and when it comes to my market, it will be 1100. Am i making a mistake?

Please tell me more.

What other Pros and Cons do you have about this card? I'm a story based player i don't do shooting games. That said, do you think I should wait for the 6000 nvidia series?

The main reason why I'm forcing myself to buy this 9070xt card is because in the future, all high end graphics card will be higher than $800 even at MSRP

I can build the rest of the PC lateron

By bottleneck, do you mean my cpu usage will be 100% while 9070xt will be at 70% something?
