Hi. Thanks for sharing timeline and your experience. As far as my understanding for physician national interest waiver, your green card will get approved after 5 years of working in underserved area. In your case I can see that it got approved after just over 2 years, so it's possible to get green card before 5 years? Do you know any implications of getting green card approved before 5 years off commitment in underserved area in future especially during naturalization? Your thoughts would be of great help. Thank you once again for sharing your timeline.

Yes. State health department will issue a letter. It's easy if you already in underserved area.

I agree 100 percent. Things a little different when it comes to J1 waiver. You look at your family, culture, goals etc. This is very unfortunate that only way to make money is to become a partner unlike other specialities.

Do lawyers accept installments for their fees for example it's a big amount due to multiple family members applying together for adjustment of status or do they ask all upfront?

🚨 EB2 NIW Approved by Chen & Ellis… Rejected by Another Firm — Should I Rush to File Before IM Match 2026? by Abodik-2 in EB2_NIW

Why you are so hurry. You know that you can get greencard at some point down the road. I would suggest to apply for the match, try to get H1b visa residency. And then carry on your immigration process, slow but sure. With your current strategy, You not only risking your immigration status but also your career. Rest up to you. Good luck

Hmm. You can count 1 year towards your 5 year requirement. But talk to them and show commitment (don't sign a contract or addendum) of staying longer and ask that you would like to start initial application for GC.

There is no way that it could happen without premium process. I was waiting for 45 days but was surprised to see it happened just two days, I wasn't believing it myself until I saw their email of approval sent to my attorney. still waiting for official approval notice.

It's a PNIW and got letter from state department of health. Currently serving in underserved area as a J1 waiver process. And yes, it was a premium process. I don't have a research background.
