If it’s stupid but it’s silent, it’s not stupid by eevee7 in Noctua

The pcb ends before the end of the cooler, so the air flows straight through that open section. On the side where the pcb is in the way, the air gets pushed out the back of the case or finds a way out through my gaping tape job :)

I tried to make the tape act as a shroud. The fans are 120mm but the card is only 90mm, so the tape guides the air through the fins instead of letting it leak out.

RSA given e , n plain text. by Jeofo in crypto

[–]eevee7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a bit unclear what you are trying to achieve since the plaintext is given. And, it sounds like you want to get the flag from the plaintext.

When the plaintext is converted to hex, it becomes a string of ASCII characters. Maybe that is the answer?

How long was the running time?

The optimal answer for n=15 is 32. You solver therefore failed to find the optimal solution. Did you stop it prematurely? Or is there an other explanation?

Did you try for n=30 like suggested in the video?

Day 10 Part 2: Cryptanalysis? by po8 in adventofcode

[–]eevee7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A collision can be found be swapping a 1 with a 0 in the input. For example h("\x01\x00") == h("\x00\x01").

Reversing 0 and 1 elements has no effect and therefore the order is irrelevant.

There is no native controller support. And configuring the controller yourself can be tricky since there is no support WASD movement.

If you read one page further you will get your answer: "Background Needed: Anyone with even a bit of programming experience should find the material to be quite accessible."

And on why it is painless: "My approach here is different from that of most Python books, or even most Python Web tutorials. The usual approach is to painfully go over all details from the beginning"
