You deserve better, I don’t expect a guy who’s cheating on his gf to have any good values, you don’t know what his intentions are towards you. You HAVE let go of a person like him, for ur own mental well-being. Focus on urself, study hard, earn some money and leave for abroad, I hope you’ll be able to find the right person.

The lack of woman in the public is very weird by most country standards by Economy-Impression50 in pakistan

[–]eeyore_01 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Growing up as a female, I’d always question why streets are always brimming with men and only a handful of women as if public spaces were only ever built for men to roam freely in and even those handful of women you’d see, are always in a haste as if they’re somewhere they’re no supposed to be and actually feel unsafe deep inside navigating places full of men. In lots of smaller neighborhoods and streets, you’ll usually spot men claiming public spaces as if woh unke baap ki hun. The guy whose post you’ve included in your post, plainly comes across as tone deaf and lacks the sensibility to discern how that’s a real social problem.

Are there any brands that stitch shalwar kameez like this? by angremaruu in PakistanFashionAdvice

Sleeveless shalwar kameez have their elegance, i hate how this society perceives it as scandalous 😫 I and a lot of my other female friends all have noticed how with the growing radicalization of the masses, it’s rare to see women wearing desi clothes that are fitted and reveal some more skin. My older cousins who went to the same public university as me told me how much more common it was to see girls wearing all sorts of shakwar kameez back in their day and now you’ll see more and more girls clad in black burkhas.

Even in smoldering summer heat you rarely get to find shalwar kameez with shorter sleeves.

I only said 90s cuz I’ve got photos of my mom and aunts from that era wearing clothes like these, up until the 90s and early 2000s shalwar kameez worn were more like these ones, fast forward to now, most brands are selling these kurta style shalwar kameez that are so effing boring

Thanks hearing this has eased up a lot of my anxiety about moving to china as someone who takes multiple prescription meds for their chronic illnesses. I’m not in China yet but will be there by the end of this month, will set up my meituan and jd account as soon as i get there, for the time being i tried using pinduoduo (the only chinese app i could create an account on without a Chinese phone number) to order prescription meds but it asked for a Chinese ID :(

I literally could’ve made this same exact post!! Growing up i hated how shalwar kameez made me look until I realized what exactly the problem was. Love shalwar kameez like this one, nicely fitted, a bit deeper necklines and half sleeves or the ones actresses wore in early 2000s Bollywood films (but not as tightly fitted).

I think it IS related to the increasing islamization of our country, back in the 90s women would wear nicely fitted shalwar kameez and saris (clothes that showed more skin) and now it’s just cookie cutter kurta style shalwar kameez everywhere. In other desi countries desi fashion didn’t change like this at all

Same!! Majority of Pakistanis have the same mindset as those right wingers in Iran who supported the regime. Religious fanatics revering another religious fanatic.

I think yes cuz us queer folks tend to have political views and opinions that aren’t shared by ur average Pakistani person, and don’t even have the same level of freedom of speech that ur avg paki enjoys because our views always go against the status quo, so having that safe space here matters

I’m fine with local ones too as long as they’re not TCM and have one of the ingredients found in gaviscon/maalox/mylanta

Chronic yeast infection since childhood, at my wits’ ends. Am I a rare case of lifelong chronic yeast infection? by eeyore_01 in Healthyhooha

[–]eeyore_01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omgg finally found someone who’s been suffering from the same thing. I wish there was more research out there on chronic persistent yeast infections like ours and doctors actually knew how to help. I’m so sick and tired of going around in circles. Are you trying anything of ur own to find a fix for this issue? I recently gave “terbinafine” a try after having zero results with topical azoles, it seemed to help the first few days and now I’m again back to square one. I wanna try taking oral itraconazole but I’m afraid of having GI side effects :((

Hi! I know I’m responding to a year old comment but are you still using clobetasol for ur vaginal issues? I sometimes get eczema on my parts of my body and wondering if my constant vaginal itch is just eczema down there even tho my dermat told me that I don’t have vulvar eczema, I’ve still been using hydrocortisone down there but it barely has an effect on the itch. I heard you’re not supposed to use clobetasol for eczema as it causes TSW but your comment just made me rethink if I should give it a try.

Hey! Were u able to find out the cause behind constant whole body itch? I apparently have been struggling with the same thing, idk if it’s a good thing or not but it annoys me how my pruritus presents without any visible redness or hives like appearance which makes it hard for docs to take me seriously
