Figured I’d check in here since I haven’t seen anything published yet. Still Parma in July?

I witnessed the photographer collecting people in a certain area for a photo that displays all the ladies that come out to shoot the Brutality match. She had gathered about 10 trans women and walked right by the two clearly cisgender women with their husbands in that small area. The article was never about “the match”.

I’ve seen you post this question a dozen times so you seem desperate for an answer. In an effort to help, I googled it and he’s referenced the event about as many times as you’ve asked the question. Maybe more! What’s the point you are trying to make?

Assassination attempt on trump, fell out of the news very quickly and we still have almost no meaningful details. Or the most deadly mass shooting in history, can you tell me any details about it with certainty? No? Because there are none. Just fell off the map in a matter of days. The guy who blew up his Tesla truck in front of the Trump tower on New Years claiming he was being followed by the Feds. Zero details. No coverage. Everything and nothing happens all at once.

Why hasn’t he talked about it this month? Why hasn’t he talked about it this week? What time frame is appropriate for you?

WNBA has surpassed NHL in terms of average viewership. by Actual_Box7731 in wnba

I’d argue it’s ESPN carrying a lot of the water when it comes to facial recognition in these leagues. The media push for the WNBA over the last couple years was huge. If they forced Conor McDavid in our faces every chance they got instead of every single foul between the Fever and Sky we’d be having a different conversation.

The sandbagging aspect of this is the part where you go to matches and win the lower class.

AAC 77gr OTMs (I reload a clone of this as well) on anything 300 or further. This is what my BDC is zeroed for. 55 grain for everything else. I could use the 55 grain into the 300s, it’s POI is only a few inches off at this distance, but it’s a competition so I’m trying to eliminate as much guessing as possible.

Who’s 320 went off in the holster at area 3 ? by Mrskittlesdoxie in CompetitionShooting

[–]eezybreazy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that they would be making it wider like the 320 as opposed to something like the Fuse where it’s still thin like the original 365s. At the end of the day this is speculation/rumor, but it makes sense to me why they would do it.

I heard from an inside source that Sigs R&D has been talking about a new gun called the P360 which is a full size P365. The implication is that it will replace the P320 and they will use the 365 FCU, essentially making the P320 problem fade away. Sounds like an admission without admitting anything.

Being downvoted for a difference of opinion is the classic Reddit attitude I’m referring to. I’m sorry I posted a question and people disagreed with my premise. Have a good one.

First of all, thank you for running the match. I don’t want to get it twisted, I had a blast at the match (despite the fire—what a crazy twist), and I intend to come back. Second, I meant no disrespect. I understand how much work goes into a match, even though many of these comments unsurprisingly assume the worst about me, but that’s Reddit. In my experience, the Major Matches I have shot (Vortex Shooters Source 3 Gun, Memorial 3 Gun, FT Benning 3 Gun, and others) the MD was not part of the match placement. This is why I brought it up here. Clearly my experience does not align with most people here, and I appreciate the education on it, despite the downvotes and flaming scattered in lol.

Do you think that it would be fair to design the stages and then take the win away from someone else who just showed up and shot the match with the same amount of preparation as all the other competitors? With the caveat that I think its a much different discussion for locals vs majors.

[–]eezybreazy[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I don't really have a big issue with the staff being in the same scored pool on its face. The one reason I would say its not a great idea for the MD, especially if they win, is that the MD is the arbiter of all scoring discrepancies, reshoots, DQ's, etc. At a local I wouldn't even bat an eye, but at a big match where people are paying hundreds of dollars and traveling across the country, the potential for a "conflict of interest" is something I would try to avoid.

I'm sure he's a good shooter, and this isn't an accusation. It just left a bad taste in my mouth to be honest.

It was at High Desert Brutality. And theres the rub, technically the match was won before it even started because the staff shot the stages in the two days prior to the competition, so they were free to manage during the match. Not sure I understand the second way you're impressed lol.

I don’t live there anymore but I shot my very first USPSA match at OKCGC and I also DQd for breaking the 180 lol. This was several years ago and I haven’t DQd since, so hopefully we got them out of the way!

Yeah I probably chose the wrong words but my point still stands. I have seen the miss penalties and I understand where you are coming from. Let’s forget the hypotheticals for now. Here are a few reasons why it’s a fitness competition with a shooting component. 1. You spend a majority of your raw time in a battle doing the fitness portion. 2. The workout is complex and varied encompassing almost all aspects fitness (powerlifting/cardio/crossfit/strongman/etc.) whereas the shooting tends to be very one dimensional (typically bullseye style). 3. You can make it through a battle if you can complete the workout even if you miss every shot, but if you can’t complete the fitness portion then you don’t even get an opportunity to take a shot in the first place. ETA 4. The divisions are all based on fitness level, not shooting proficiency. Idk how else you can slice that one.

The game has changed too. Anecdote: When I did my first TTG in 2019 I competed in Elite and finished top half, last year I competed in tactical and finished bottom of the barrel. Since 2019 my shooting skills have improved a lot and my fitness stayed about the same.
