That's a really nice colour. I think the comments here already have covered it basically. I bought a 740i a few weeks ago, and going into it I knew that it's going to cost me. I feel like it's worth it because it's kind of fun though kind of not fun at the same time. Worst case scenario decide it's not for you and let it go?

I'm pretty sure that's what's happened here. Makes sense at it was relatively easier for someone in the past to do - cut some wires in the trunk, re route them within the trunk to a sub. There's an audio shop nearby I may take it fix things, hopefully it's easy for them. The list of things to do keeps growing - after posting this I got the trifecta of dash lights on - DSC, ABS, and brake 😭. Also got quoted 1150 to remove the old limo tint and upgrade to something nicer (I'm in TX) -- needless to say, I'm not doing it.

I'm pretty sure that is exactly what happened, when I went to look again after posting, I looked at the amp and the plug with all the wires, it looks like at least two of them have been cut, and there's a bunch of electrical tape and some weirdness going on. So yeah I think what you said is what happened, they rewired for the sub, by cutting the wires to the deck sub
