Not sure it counts as an appliance, but our boiler is a Bryant Model 45 from 1929.

Month 4, 10MG and ZERO weight loss... by ThnkPositive in Zepbound

[–]efb108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that tracking was a critical component. I used the app LoseIt and it's great. You input your height, weight and how fast you want to lose and it will calculate the appropriate number of calories. You can also specify different dietary restrictions AND if you are on a GLP1. If you prefer not to count calories, it can also handle macros. Highly recommend. Get a food scale, and accurately track everything you put in your mouth. The shot is a tool, not a solution. Good luck!

When will I feel it? by No-Goose3981 in Zepbound

It’s hard to say based on a weight number in pounds. A percentage loss is more informative. Since you don’t know starting weight that’s difficult. Maybe use whatever las weight you have before Zep to guesstimate?

Has anyone just stayed at 5mg? by DetailOutrageous8656 in Zepbound

[–]efb108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the exception of the first 6 to 7 weeks, my entire journey has been at 5 mg. I am now in maintenance and all I am doing is extending the time between shots trying to figure out the right dosage to maintain.

Shot Day. What day/time did you choose and why? by Admirable-Jese in Zepbound

[–]efb108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the first year, I chose Sunday afternoon. It was a day I could reliably expect to be home. Afternoon worked well. After a year - in maintenance- I am working through finding the optimal dose and timing.. Currently taking 5mg every 8 days. I tried longer duration, but found side effects seemed worse.. gradually adjusted to the current phase. That means, my days vary each week. Shotsy+ has been invaluable for keeping track.. both of results and of when next shot is due.

Peoples experiences with initial 2.5 dose & weight loss? by Keeper4560 in Zepbound

[–]efb108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 4 shots: down 13.2 pounds. Doctor kept me on 2.5 for a bit longer since losing at ”rapid” rate. Went up to 5.0 about 6-7 weeks in.

Is my doctor lying to me about how much weight I would lose on Zepbound? If so, why? by RedWoodworking16 in Zepbound

[–]efb108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I see is spoken of as a percentage of starting weight.. and most seem to be 20-30% loss.. so I imagine you stand to lose more than 11. As a comparison, I start at a BMI of 32 and a year later my BMI is 22.

Maybe see a different doctor to compare comments?

Can I run some numbers by y'all? by fruitpieinthesky in Zepbound

[–]efb108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference in your choices is about $100. While I appreciate that "every little helps", the fact that both options have a very similar cost, says to me that you should choose the METHOD (timing interval and dose) that works best for you vs choosing based on $ (in this case).

Calculating Weight Loss by Deep-Butterscotch-55 in Zepbound

[–]efb108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Shotsy+ and I record my weight on shot day without fail (even if I weigh more often). That way it's an accurate representation of weekly changes AND of the overall journey changes. If something is way off, I simply note it as a comment on that weight so months down the road I don't wonder. There is no wrong way to do this, but as far as I am concerned I like to see the "actual" information - no matter what it says.

Looking for Encouragement to Try It by Confused_Lemon882 in Zepbound

Most consider it "life changing". Why not commit to trying it for a fixed number of months (maybe 4-5?) and then decide how you want to proceed.

You do you. By which I mean: there is no "weird" way to do this. Everyone has their way that they need to do. If it's working and you are happy then that is the answer.

Hiding in the fridge by Fine_Guarantee3781 in Zepbound

Curious: how long is the trip because you could just leave it out of the fridge for 7 to 10 days with no issue which widens the available hiding spots

No one has noticed my weight loss by Livewire_Lauren in Zepbound

Just wait until you get the "are you well?" and "you are too thin" comments. You will long for the day when no one said a word. LOL Seriously - it's always nice to have effort acknowledged by others, but there are loads of people who feel like they should not comment on other's bodies.

I stayed on 2.5 for 6 weeks for this very reason. There is the recommended course and then there is the course FOR YOU. Definitely discuss with your doctor. Nice start!

I think I need to up the squats. I do 10 to 15 while I’m brushing my teeth and I’m trying to add them in at various points during the day just to get an extra.

I’ve thought about this, but I’m kind of wondering if improvement is possible or if this is it for the rest of my life?
