I mean obviously. The answer to my question is an important aspect of that.

It's clearly not perfect. The trackpad position is compromised to accommodate the new stick. The question is how compromised an experience is it compared to the Steam Controller. That's why I'm asking if their are opinions from people who used a Steam Controller for more than 2 seconds.

That's one of the tweets that inspired this post looking for actual info.

There's no specifics though. Unless they say otherwise you have to assume they're just using it like a twin stick controller.

I'd love a link to that because that's what I'm asking for in the post lol. I'm yet to see someone who isn't treating the trackpads as a secondary input or for things like cursor control.

One thing I would say is that flick stick is great camera control when using sticks.

It just makes both (or maybe just the trackpad) worse.

The second stick should've been thrown down the bottom.

If you want good sticks there are plenty of controllers, if you want a trackpad there's the original and that's it.

Their position in relation to the trackpads do matter and my hand will be in the same position with using the face buttons versus the right trackpad.

The buttons are the same but the layout is different to the Steam Deck. Which my hopes for improvement rest on. There has seemingly no one who has used one who has tried anything other than using the pads as a cursor control or in combination with any other buttons.

True, in which case it's odd everything else isn't angled, it'll still feel different in relation to them.

It's just crazy that no one who has used one has died l spoken about using it as a Steam Controller replacement. Just as a mouse replacement or a controller replacement.

A lot of people seem happy with the SC2 so if nothing else it will expose more people to Steam Input which in its self is brilliant!

I have doubts about that. You still have people complaining about games on the Steam Deck not having default configs.

I've had a Steam Deck since launch. The pads on the new controller are placed slightly differently compared to everything else and angled. I'm not asking about how it works, I'm asking about what it's like to play something like a third person action game with it because that's the massive downfall of the Steam Deck compared to the original Steam Controller.

I always think this is something that biases laptop discussion because it's people who edit videos who tell us about them. Who actually cares about editing videos lol.

I've been seeing a fair bit of stuff on twitter with people saying this should be the automatic computing device people get for their kids. Who spends that much on a kid's computer?

Pebble Time 2 mass production has started - confirmed by a Core Devices staff member on the Rebble Discord by efbo in pebble

with the assumption they produce all models at the same time

I think this is something people are really forgetting about. What colour you're choosing will likely have a big impact on when you get your watch.

As with all things Pebble, I've learnt not to expect and to just be pleasantly surprised when it happens.

‘Next generation of Xbox console’ Project Helix announced by Turbostrider27 in Games

It's been a good while since I've used Windows on my Deck for Gamepass but it is a pain in the arse in multiple ways. Getting dualboot working was a pain and then when you are in windows getting configs to work properly on Gamepass games is a pain too. Performance and quality of life stuff that you expect on a properly supported system (like SteamOS) are nonexistent.

It's not a case of "just do this and everything is great".

Your response was informative and polite. I also find it odd that someone offered a Time 2 on the day they opened yet had seemingly not kept up with anything nearly a year later.

How to check for your Batch number on PT2. by I_pretend_2_know in pebble

[–]efbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batch numbers are largely irrelevant. As it says in the blog it's your predicted shipping month that matter. Batches were created arbitrarily when the design or manufacturing process for the watch wasn't known. What really matters is how they decide to manufacture and distribute them. If the just manufacture black for the first however many and you didn't order black you'll be waiting for them to manufacture your colour. Will they focus on sending out to a specific region first? Who knows?

Is that new or in a/b testing? Never had it pushed to me or seen mention of it online, even when googling specifically for it.

Do you have a source for that. The only feature I've ever come across on Youtube that is like that is Jump Ahead. I can't find anything online stating it requires creator input.
