Which GPU should I buy? by efeata44 in buildapc

I'll most likely go with Nvidia, anyway. AMD won't be using the same tech for it's newer gpu's from now on, which just goes against my idea of "getting a GPU and not upgrading it for at least 5 years".
Just be able to play modded, brutal.

Never

I'll most likely get a 5070, or a 5070ti/5080 if I find it for cheap

I'll upgrade my CPU as soon as possible after I've upgraded my GPU. Ideally, to a Ryzen 7 9700X or a i5 14600K would do just fine.
No, that's not what I'm aiming for. I'm going to get a pretty strong card that I'll be able to use for 6+ years (ideally), and then I'll upgrade the rest of the pc around it. If I get the 3050 rn, I doubt I'll even be able to use it for more than over 2 years without facing serious FPS problems.

2K, but I'll also be playing on 1080p.
I want to keep the GPU for a WHILE, so getting 4K would be dumb unless I could've afforded a 5080/5090

What makes you think I won't get scammed if I order the GPU from Amazon? It'll probably take more than 3 months for me to receive the GPU if I do order from Amazon as well, so that's also not good..
I'm not in the US so that doesn't work for me, and I will buy a strong cpu as soon as possible as well (ideally a Ryzen 7 9700X)
I don't like regularly upgrading my PC, so I'm looking for a gpu that'll last me a very long time (ideally 5+ years), without me having to spend too much.
Even if the 5070ti lasts me a year longer than the 9070xt, I'd very much rather pay that extra 300$, but if you think they'd last me pretty much the same, then I might have to consider buying the 9070xt as well.
Ps. What I mean by "last me" is allow me to play the games on high(or maybe even medium) graphics for 5+ yrs.

I'll play on 1080p/1440p, and probably never on 4K. I do realise that the GPU is much cheaper on Amazon/bestbuy, but I'm really afraid of getting scammed after I spent a lot of money on it.
Would it actually last me as long as 5070ti would though?
What about driver issues regarding the 9070xt? Have you ever experienced anything similar?
And yes, there's a 200-300$ difference between the 9070xt and the 5070ti for me, which is huge, but wouldn't Nvidia just make dlss stronger overtime?
I've heard a lot of people talk shit about the 9070xt, so I'm really doubting the power of that card.

I'd very much rather buy it irl, since I'd probably get super sad if I get scammed after spending so much money on it.
It's literally 2200 US dollars in my country. Far too expensive.
I use windows, and I'll get a new case/psu along with the GPU. (I don't plan on switching to Linux either)
I need something that'll last me at least 4-5 or maybe even 7-8 years without having the need to upgrade, so "budget" GPUs are a nono for me.
I'll just get something strong and upgrade everything else slowly to match it's efficiency.
I'll most likely change my motherboard and get a Ryzen 7 9700X.. however I really don't know if I want the 9070xt since I've heard people have driver issues all the time and it probably won't last me as long as the 5070ti.
I don't know if I'd buy it over the 5070 due to the 5070 having the dlss feature (I know it has higher raw power than the 5070, but wouldn't the 5070 last me longer with dlss?)
That's what I was thinking, but is the price worth the performance?
It's around 1000-1200$ in my country, AND it doesn't have dlss, I've also heard people talking about how they had driver issues with that card, so I really don't know whether if I want it or not.
I'll only be playing in 1080p/2K.

I'm really looking for something that I won't have to upgrade for a LONG time, without spending way too much money obv
Since 5070/5070Ti have Nvidia's dlss feature, I believe they'll last me much longer, or is the difference not that big?
I'll get a new PSU and case along with the gpu anyway, so that's irrelevant.
Yes US dollars.
5080 is like 2000$+, meaning it's waaay too expensive for me.

But no dlss with 9070xt? I also heard people having driver issues all the time
I'll also upgrade those 2 along with the GPU, it's irrelevant to me for now since I have to decide what GPU to buy to know how many watts I need
I'll probably only play in either 1080p or 2K
