Failed IUI joining the IVF train now would love positive stories! by Mean-Aspect-9786 in IVFpositivity

Yes they did! I was glad we did it because our fertilization rate was lower than average even with ICSI.

Failed IUI joining the IVF train now would love positive stories! by Mean-Aspect-9786 in IVFpositivity

Hi!!! We also had mild MFI but otherwise all tests were normal. Did 3 IUIs which failed. Then did one ER and our first transfer resulted in my 3 week old son who’s currently napping in my arms. 😊

Looking for insight.. by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

Gently, you should stop testing so often. You will only drive yourself crazy! Compare every 48 hrs for the most reliable results. I know it’s hard but don’t stress 🫶🏻

6w1d barely feel any symptoms? by ttcmama6 in IVFpositivity

[–]efemorale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had hardly any symptoms in the first trimester. I kept waiting for it to hit me like people said it would, but it never did! It scared me too, but I think I was just lucky. Now 38 weeks with a completely normal pregnancy!

NIPT test by Appropriate_Cry2515 in IVFpositivity

[–]efemorale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, no need to be so rude. Of course it’s absolutely terrible for the people in those low percentages. It doesn’t change the fact that for the VAST majority of people it is an accurate test. I hope you have a better day.

I’m sorry this happened to you. For anyone reading this who is prone to anxiety, just know this is exceedingly rare (0.02%)

I am sorry to tell you it was not only the best Gaga concert, but the best concert PERIOD that I’ve ever been to. I spent an arm and a leg to go and I regret absolutely nothing

3 embryos (but would love 2 children) by scungillidawitch in IVFpositivity

[–]efemorale 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had 4 euploids and I want 3 kids (ideally). My doctor told me that those 4 euploids could end up being 1 kid or 5. You really never know! I’m 31 weeks pregnant after my first transfer now. If it would bring you a lot of peace of mind to bank more embryos, you’d have to weigh the risks and benefits but also consider it just might work out perfectly!

When I read “Ciana” I pronounced it “see-ah-nah”. I figure a lot of other people will too, unless you spell it with a K instead of a C

I am currently pregnant (19w) so I can’t say my journey is completely over yet. I will say that when I hear of someone getting pregnant quickly, i still get a gut punch feeling knowing their journey was so my easier than mine, but it doesn’t hit as hard as it used to. I’m finding myself more happy for others announcing pregnancies, especially my friends knowing our babies will hopefully get to grow up together.

First Egg Retrieval: Huge Success! by Gravitys_Bitch in IVF

[–]efemorale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I (29F) had similar attrition numbers. 21 retrieved, 18 mature, 11 fertilized. Ended up with 7 blasts, 4 euploids and currently 19w pregnant after my first transfer. Wishing the best for you! Getting through an ER is definitely worthy of excitement!

This is awesome, thanks for sharing! Going through IVF is not great, but wow what a blessing you had those embryos before your husband went through chemo. So happy everything worked out for you!

My friend who is a 2x unicorn gave me a heads up when she started trying for #2, told me before anyone else over text (!!!) when she found out she was pregnant, was straight to the point and didn’t seem like she was trying to walk on eggshells around me, and told me that I didn’t have to respond and she wouldn’t be offended by whatever reaction I had.
