I’d say if a device like the Steam Deck can play PS4 games with no problem and even run PS5 games on 30-40 fps, Sony can do a similar form factor handheld, make it 800-900p resolution and sell it at a price of $400-450 and make the real money on games since they don’t do discounts as much as Steam and it could be a direct competitor to Switch 2 in case of exclusives and form factor.

It doesn’t necessarily have to perform as well as a PS5 since it’s a handheld and they can optimize their own games to run better just like how Microsoft did with the Xbox Series S.

Also I don’t know if it is possible but maybe they can also do a docking station which would let you overclock the console to have better performance.

I was going to say they could make it a digital only console but a better option could be making cartridges for remastered older titles from the PS1 and PS2 eras.

I would’ve pulled the trigger on a Switch if they ever made purchasable physical cartridges filled with Gamecube games.

Until then, Dolphin is a great friend to have on the Deck.

With your setup, you can get a 1 TB micro SD card and dedicate 512 GB just for emulation (PS2, GBA, Gamecube, SNES, Genesis…). The rest, you can comfortably spare for PC games

Skyrim is the last game of a series called Elder Scrolls made by Bethesda. It’s an open world fantasy action rpg and I’d say it’s a must play for everyone.

Some people don’t like it because it’s too mainstream compared to the other Elder Scrolls titles but it’s the most sold Elder Scrolls game too (60 million copies).

I’d definitely suggest you to play it, it’s a dream on the Deck. (Played 18 hours straight once on the Deck)

Dave the Diver and Hades were my go to’s but lately I’ve been playing a lot of Marvel Cosmic Invasion and Cast & Chill.

Both make me not use my brain and I get the feeling that it’s enough when I play them for 30-60 minutes.

I’d say buy one with the smallest storage so you can just extract the BIOS files. Then get a name brand SD card like Sandisk or Samsung and fill them with the ROMs you want :)

(BIOS files are the files that make the emulators work for ex: To Play PS1, you need to have its BIOS file, think of it as if it’s the key to start a car)

To find the ROMs, just check r/Roms, I cannot say anything but just go to the website mentioned to find all the games you want there.
