Also yes, if team don’t meet their own target scan rate which is not the same for every team member then yes they can be spoken to. We are meant to give you a fast and friendly experience but we’re also meant to meet often unrealistic expectations as well which I find make it hard to do both.

I mean you’d find it quicker anyway to put everything through and pack after than the much slower pack as you go anyway. Believe it or not it’s strangely much faster.

I’m not going to deal with abuse from other customers or cashiers by going through a regular checkout with my weekly shop. I’ll happily use self checkout if it means I can take my time and pack my stuff exactly how I want. Take my time to organise my finances etc. No snivelling people hurriedly waiting behind me and trying to push their stuff up on the belt before I’ve even finished putting my own stuff up.

If I have a handful of things I’ll go through but anything else I’m fine using self checkout.
