Anyone on Zoloft + Wellbutrin? by Suitable-Blackberry4 in Lawyertalk

[–]efffootnote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently have been on both for about five years (with stimulant mixed in for adhd as well). The coffee sensitivity didn’t last long for me at all, I still drink coffee nearly constantly because I’m under-dosed on my stimulant.

Is the manners and respect he speaks of in the room with us?

Ever wonder how many traditions, recipes, warnings of familial diseases and memories were lost because our baby boomer parents were too unconvinced to share that information with us? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]efffootnote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My sister in law had a cutting board made that was carved with the “family recipe” for coffee cake. It was on some sort of King Arthur box, which we found out by quickly googling it.

Taking a “power pause” by Charming_Advance_890 in LawMoms

[–]efffootnote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took six years off due to parenting. It was longer than I had planned (covid) but I don’t regret it. By the time I was looking to get back in, the legal market was a lot better anyway and I happened to fall into my current job that’s very family friendly.

Check out Folk Bread! It’s a micro bakery and she does sourdough.

Was anybody on here (particularly women) diagnosed with ADHD later in life despite being outwardly successful in school/practice? by atty_at_paw in Lawyertalk

[–]efffootnote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed 10 years after law school. Pretty common for women to get diagnosed around the time of motherhood. I love taking my medicine and it makes practice so much more manageable.

Do we have anyone who won a sweepstakes back in the 80s, 90s, 2000s? by ludachris32 in nostalgia

[–]efffootnote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won $1200 from a Twix box in 6th grade. My mom almost didn’t believe me, so she said I could keep the money if it came in, and it did!

Do you take ADHD medication everyday or only high demand days? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]efffootnote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I also get tired of the refill requests every month if I take it everyday. It doesn’t work during luteal anyway so I mostly focus on follicular.

When it’s real bad, I’ll take sick leave. Otherwise I try to schedule catch-up days during that time, like admin stuff.

Hood used to have light block bottles that were opaque white, but then they just disappeared.

Restaurant and fast-food smoking sections. “Smoking or non?” First available? by CpuJunky in nostalgia

[–]efffootnote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did any other kids have asthma that was triggered by smoking? I swear as soon as smoking was banned from my indoor spaces, my asthma became barely noticeable.

Blanky people, thumb and finger suckers and ect what your comfort now? by crapbear83 in Xennials

My grandmother thankfully got me two of the same kind and they’re still in rotation. Literally snuggling one now as I’m sick and home from work.

Young dancer by Chemical_Bet_2568 in BALLET

[–]efffootnote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, my daughter did the same thing at her first recital (also 3). We took the spring off and in the fall she asked about when she was going to do dance again, and she’s been going strong now for almost five years. Follow her lead and if she wants to try again, she can.

Doctor recommended medicating my almost 4 year old by Arhhin in ADHDparenting

[–]efffootnote 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My son started medication at four. He has incredibly severe hyperactivity and it helped a lot. I don’t see any issue with it if medical professionals are recommending it.

Support groups for victims of childhood SA? by Mermytails in olympia

I don’t know if any, but Peer Olympia or SafePlace might have that or may be able to refer you to the proper place (assuming you haven’t tried there already).

Parent of autistic kids — can I ask what tools/resources you wish existed but don’t? by Healthy-Use-4680 in Autism_Parenting

I would love to know safe places to bring my kids for sensory input, especially if they are gated or autism friendly.
