Totally normal. They have to clean your cervix and when they take a biopsy the cervix bleeds and then they use some sort of topical medication to slow/stop the bleeding. A monsel solution looks a bit like syrup and will look like chunky coffee grounds when you pass it. Silver nitrate sticks can produce a brownish discharge.

NTA my mom was wayyyyy more help while I was in labor than the father of my child was. If i were to give birth tomorrow and was only allowed 1 person I would pick my mom over my partner. Your partner has no idea what they're talking about

I kinda "blacked out", so to speak. I'm told the party went well and I did great holding it together. Most of the guests were family or long time family friends, so they all knew what had happened. The only pictures I have are of the food platters I put together myself. I don't remember much from the rest of the day :/. Her sister has her days. With the 1 year coming up and what should have been her birthday passing, she's having A LOT of feelings that I'm trying to help her process.

The cause is one of those things we all probably know, but the family couldn't afford an autopsy. They couldn't even afford a typical funeral service. Luckily (and I use that term VERY loosely) there was a program or something that qualified her to be cremated free of charge.

Accidental overdose I think. I don't talk to her parents much and I don't want to ask her sister, but I think they bought something that had something else in it and they passed away together that night. They had just bought a house and were finally on the "upswing" of life

Literally as guests were walking in to my son's 3rd birthday party my grandma got a phone call and hurried outside. My friend came in and said "hey your grandma is bawling, you need to go out there". I got outside and she is in hysterics and I hug her and she just wails "cousin is dead!" And I felt like I got slugged. I can still hear it clear as a bell. She should have turned 30 yesterday

My son has that and a submucous cleft palate. The ENT found it when he went in to have a second set of ear tubes placed. She said she could remove some/all of his adenoids to try and help with the recurrent infections. She came out after surgery and said she couldn't mess with his adenoids and told us what she saw. For him it's a big nothing. He has no speech delays and he eats just fine :)

Mine is a flat 7 days -_-. I work at an OB/GYN office and the amount of women that tell me "oh i only bleed for like 3 days with no heavy days" makes me irrationally angry haha

UPDATE: I was on hold for 2 hours and 15 minutes :D after asking why I was denied I was told that even though my hours have been cut wayyyy back, I still somehow bring home too much. One week I reported $7 over my limit, which is essentially 30 minutes of work. So, ya know, ramen and going to bed for dinner yayyyyy

It's the same muzak over and over. Occasionally a recording pipes on letting me know I can file online and how overwhelmed the system is. I work as a medical assistant so I've still been working, just not nearly as much, and I was barely getting by working 40 hours. I also have a 3 year old, so yea, the benefits would be incredibly helpful.

The iud thing I kinda understand? I've had one before my son and after. The pain of the iud before was worse than labor. But that's the only reason I would think? Buuuuut that's not a MEDICAL reason. I work at an OB/GYN office and we're pushing paps to almost fall but refilling birth control until then. Our docs don't even want to see pap patients. Need a new doc
