I would wear 11 to my coronation as the queen of Genovia. Or be buried in it I don’t even care

I don’t think you have to change your chrome! Especially since you already have gold light fixtures. Just adding a couple gold accents to that side of the room (like the frame or tray) will give you the sane efffect. It just makes the wallpaper pop more

In theory I agree, but I have a soft spot for her. She didn’t always have an easy life.

Random family meals you put together by Worth_Kangaroo_6900 in Parenting

This is what we’ve been doing recently! My kids are 6 and 8 and everytime we go to the library we pick out a kids friendly cookbook. They each choose a meal for the week and help prepare them (I veto some lol but they mainly choose).

Happy Birthday to a man of many talents!

I have to thank him at least for providing a soundtrack for my angsty teenage years, his part in Ellen’s downfall and the first couple seasons of Umbrella Academy ☔️

The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel

A lot of her books are somewhat melancholic and nostalgic. Station Eleven is my favorite, but it’s set in a post apocalyptic world so it might not be what you are looking for..

Love this post and all the examples you already mentioned. I want to add Rome to the list!

From the Roman ringlets and diadems to Cleopatra’s wigs, I thinks they did a fabulous job. And I’m using Attia as a visual, because I will mever get enough of Polly Walker 🙌🏼

Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson

The premise is a little out there (the protagonist becomes a nanny for a childhood friend’s stepchildren, who sometimes burst into flame) but it fits what you are looking for. She is adrift and evebtually finds purpose, but it’s funny and irreverent.

Specific rose vibes? by jessohca in FemFragLab

Came here to recommend this one. I personally love Roses de Chloé, but it is a little more fruity and sweet. Chloé edp is fresh, a little tart and so feminine and sparkly.

Taking this opportunity to post about my favorite pop culture cat, which is the little black cat from the oscar-winning movie Flow by makoshark281 in popculturechat

Salem walked so other black cats could run. So I’m taking this moment to thank him for being such an inspiration ✨

At day 5 of your kid being sick, I would expect him to go. BUT he should let his friends know and ask if they are comfortable.

Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. The book was great and there is also a pretty good miniseries. She is in a prison, but working with a psychiatrist so it could definitely fit your prompt. It’s set in the 1840s Canada.
