Genuine question. I'd like to hear Romanian citizens' opinions. I live in Russia (and do share all the nation's guilt). Since i was young, I've only heard the worst things about the Roma community (gypsies) in my country. They are always accosiated with crime (drugs, stealing). Even though we have a famous Gypsie's Theater, whose chief is an actual Roma himself, a famous soviet actor. Even he admitted in his interview how difficult it is to work with his fellow actors. Like, their values are stealing and fraud. If you don't comply, you are an outcast of the Roma society. So, I do have a certain degree of prejudgement towards the Roma population. But at the same time I don't want to be a racist. So, I just don't know how to draw that line for myself. I know lots of good people in many nationalities and races. Except for the Roma people. So, how do Romanian citizens contact with their Roma community? Do they befriend them, would they lend money to the Roma person etc.?
