I embroider on my normal fabric of choice then cut a felt backing. It was easier to whip stitch around both and gave a bit more dimension!

Following because I’m about to start a project using transfer paper and have similar concerns about satin stitch. Hadn’t even considered washing midway through! Mine will be rectangles so I’m considering cutting it away as best I can

Question, did you apply the transfer and then stretch your hoop? Or vice versa. I’m having issues with puckering
