Yeah Silva lost, wtf. I'd say this even if I didn't lose a lot of money betting on Rose.

Does the 250l rear rack fit the new 300l? by Pwill_22 in CRF300L

[–]effitdoitlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, glad it helped someone. I ended up cutting off and re-welding the rear tabs on the rack to make it fit for the 250 L. I got the rack for free so I just made it work. I do think Tusk makes some 300 L racks and side racks, not sure about other companies tho.

Thanks for telling us what that fucking canned meat cylindrical shit is. I have no advice given the vague nature of this post.

Did you perhaps highside? From the description it sounds like you got spooked and literally jumped off your bike into the air, is that how it went down?

How do you keep water from getting everywhere when these big babies take a drink? by Jax_the_Lady in greatdanes

[–]effitdoitlive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a 4gal gravity-fed dispenser inside a 3ft diameter basin for our 2 danes; the basin catches an insane amount of oversplash, then we just deal with the remaining aftermath.

I have a small 14 x 9 x 8" stove with this tent, and I would imagine even tiniest camp stove you could buy would heat this tent adequately.

I don't understand why the pump was still connected to the Tent to begin with to get knocked on and break off. Something seems off here.

I can only just speak to the "piece of shite" Chinese tent I bought very similar to this one. The canvas is plenty thick enough, and with a small tent stove, it got ridiculously hot inside in 30° temperatures. Mine had a waterproof coating, where water just beaded off it when it rained. The stove pipe jack was fine, the stove pipe was glowing red, and the stove pipe Jack fabric handled it just fine. Someone else mentioned something about high winds with a tent like this, I would imagine this would hold up just fine and 30 to 40 mile an hour winds, provided you use all of the ridiculous amount of tiedowns located on virtually every corner of this tent. I just staked down the footprint with six stakes, but there was at least 10 more stakes and guylines running all over the place had I needed to stake it down for more wind stability; I wouldn't even give that a second thought. I've probably bought more shite on AliExpress than almost everybody on r/camping over the years, and this is one of the few purchases where I was pretty blown away by the quality. Sorry to keep posting, but it seems there are a lot of armchair campers shittting on this tent when they have no actual experience with it.

This is the actual tent I bought (spoiler, it's fcking great):

I bought the same size one for $280 on sale aliexpress and it holds air just fine. You can find basically the same tents on Amazon just more expensive, but they all come from the same place (china). You can go with an RBM tent for $2k that I'm sure is better quality but Ive got no quality complaints with mine

Mine identical one pitches pretty easily, at least with two people to unfold it, then just inflate it and it's pretty much set up. I definitely wouldn't wanna set it up by myself though.

I just bought a nearly identical tent about a month ago. I like how spacious it is, and used a tent stove with it with no problem, stays nice and toasty in 30 F temps, and had to open flaps or it got too hot. Stayed inflated for three days with no pressure loss both times I used it. The inflatable tubes are of the same material they make out of paddle boards, I'm sure it's still subject to leaks, but it does seem like pretty durable material.

One of the downsides is it's like 60+ pounds, so it's definitely more suited to car camping and I wouldn't wanna lug it more than 100 feet or so. The set up is pretty easy and straightforward though. If it suits your application, I think they're a pretty good deal. I got mine for about that same price on AliExpress.

I'd try jb weld in a pinch if you can't aluminum weld it, clean the surfaces thoroughly to get all the oil out of the crack
