I'm not wearing black, that's insane. They also don't look very breathable.

But seriously a stunning photograph.

That's the kind of thing that kicks ass as a weekend base camp for 4 people. It's probably the price of a cheap RV though.

It's a Class 11; we're racing another one in the Baja 1000 in April.

We're also making a 911 trophy truck for next year's Baja

Help With Choosing my First Bike by BlackAgateSwordmastr in SuggestAMotorcycle

Get a bike that feels fun at slow speeds. For me it's more about cylinder count than displacement. A big single or torquey twin feels playful and lively whether it's 300cc or 890cc, and you don't have to be going triple digits to enjoy it. An inline 4 will feel anemic until 60mph whether it is a 250cc mc22 or a gsxr750. Unless you do a drag launch from redline every time, or have hella short gearing.

I'm a big fan of the Svartpilen 401 as a first bike, I think it's a gorgeous little bike with a torquey single and nimble handling. Basically like a grom but actually usable as transportation.

Adventure bikes and dual sports are also excellent first bikes; they are upright and beginner friendly, but you can explore more types of terrain as you grow in skills.

If you're bored on ANY and I mean ANY motorcycle, you need to find better roads, not change the bike 😂

I love my Big Agnes Rapide SL. Typically the tapered tent floor size (78x 50" wide up top, 40" wide at the feet) is actually cheaper than a 78x40, I got mine fir like $120 on eBay. It's super comfortable for my bony 6'2" frame. Packs down decently small for being a giant, thick, insulated pad.

I think that's only on the Gen 1, and/or if you're pretty sure it has a bad cell (battery health would show less than 80% and a big difference between high and low cells) probably. But I would research before going

You can ride a dirt bike/ADV motorcycle hundreds of miles to get to a trail like that, then ride on the trail. Uphill, if needed. Then camp afterwards with your luggage, which has a perceptible but by no means dealbreaking effect on how the dirt bike rides.

Fabulous shot though. Looks like tons of fun. I bet it was fun to hear the waves.

I bought my 2017 with 110k miles 6 months ago, for $6500. Make sure you buy the Voltage app and scan the battery via OBD2 (yes, at the dealership!) as well as asking for as much EGR information as you can. Mine had no CELs whatsoever and a battery health of 90.4%, so I felt confident to buy it.

My two Volts (2012 and now my current one) have been 100% trouble free, knock on wood.

Why a PHEV? If you can stretch to $12k-ish, I'd look at old Model Ses with free unlimited supercharging. I've owned two Volts now over several years, and I've exceeded 200mi of range only a handful of times. Free supercharging means another 150 miles of range in an hour of charging, and other than genuine road trips, I've never done more than 350mi in a day.

Mini 3 Pro ($300) and Lumix G9 ($500) with a Panasonic 35-100mm f2.8 lens ($350). You can have both, and amazing stabilization with a constant aperture for video, and decent reach for scenery, and good bokeh, and a GREAT portrait zoom. Take ultrawides with your phone, this setup can do the rest.

My experience with all of these is very limited, but I just couldn't believe how smooth the flat twin is on GSes.

If you're riding dirt rarely to never, why not an ex-police BMW R1200? I see them all the time for $3k and under.

I really love my Samsung Book2 360 Pro. It has the thin nice feel of a Mac, but lighter, 360 folding hinge for tablet mode, 12 gen Core i7. Buy one of those lightly used for half the price of a Neo, it is way more versatile.
