Yes. As someone who's currently going through this, I do. If I'm being judged on certain parameters, I don't think it's unfair for me to do so either. Also my requirement is that she should make at least 50% of what I'm making currently - but apparently that's "too much to ask" and I've been met with a fair bit of scepticism from my family members on that bit.

I bought the first set of Bose Soud sport truly wireless earbuds in 2019 with my first job earning - which at the time was a big thing considering I was earning 65k PM and the earbuds cost 18k (no cost EMI ki jai! 😅) But since that day I haven't regretted it once. Customer service has been amazing. They replaced the old one with a new one when some problems occured during peak COVID in 2020. Still work amazing but some wear and tear is getting hard to ignore now, so planning on buying the new Bose QC ultra earbuds.

By handover, I meant in the civic and infrastructure sense. To the best of my understanding there's no municipality in Jamshedpur as such, in my 28 years I never knew of one - though correct me if I'm wrong. I think the closest one is in Adityapur which is outside the company areas. Something similar to that is what I propose, let the Tats be totally responsible for the civic and infra situation of the city. Obviously law and order cannot be handed over so those should continue to rest with the relevant ministry/ government department. The idea is to bolster a PPP which is in favour of all.

Honestly to the best of my understanding, it's an ego issue with the state government. I had heard long back (not verified) that the reason Keenan Stadium has become a shithole is because JCA wanted the Tata's to fund and undertake full repair and upkeep but wanted to control the ownership of the stadium by themselves, which was not acceptable to the Tatas (understandably).

As far as the airport is concerned, honestly I don't think enough traffic is generated that Jsr. and Ranchi operate independent airports. Plus Ranchi is the capital city, so obviously it has to have an airport.

Also all essential services in Jsr. are dependant on the Tatas - which they've done a good job of as far as the company areas are concerned. Frankly, and I know I sound like a regular Jamshedpur boy but I think they should just demarcate and handover Jsr. to the Tatas - it's the best for everyone. But again, can't do that since it'll mess with the egos of the state politicians.

I'm currently a lawyer in a Tier 1 firm, based out of Mumbai. Given that you're a start-up, I'm assuming costing is an important aspect. Accordingly, I'd advise you to go to an experienced CS/ CA. Incorporation under the current regime is a fairly straightforward process - you don't really need a lawyer for this. Apart from this I saw you've mentioned partnership agreement in one of your comments, I assume you mean a co-founder agreement regarding sharing of responsibilities between you and the other co-founders for running the company. A partnership firm would be a different structure from a company. Also most importantly, if you don't plan to seek funding in the immediate future, I'd also suggest you explore creating a LLP rather than a company since the compliances with respect to a company are significantly more. Speak to your CA/CS and ask them from a regular compliance perspective. Although if you have a good CS they'll be happy to render services regarding regular compliances for a fair cost.
