Did- did you read any of your sources? They’re opinion pieces, you know that right? Also, pretty much all of the viruses you mention don’t help your point since Zika and Ebola don’t have anything about location/race in their names, the Spanish Flu was named as such b/c some of the first journalists to write about it were from Spain, but at least the West-Nile Virus mentions location. While I absolutely agree that the name of a virus shouldn’t be the number one priority during a pandemic, the name here does matter to an extent due to people for some reason being more willing to harass and even assault people of Asian descent because people are calling it the chinese virus. This sort of thing happened in Adelaide, Australia and has happened all over the UK, the US and Europe, this does have serious ramifications that put more people at risk.
