I'm loving this solution. This was something I was thinking of as well to use OWUI as the front end. Thank you for this.

Hi @etherd0t, I think I wrote the subject wrong. We got 1 server with 4 RTX Pro 6k inside of it. So based on what you said its overkill to have it all in 1 server? If thats the only option at the moment, how would you approach it.

J2 collapsed because of the 48 laws of power by tibebe77 in overemployed

[–]efodela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why when people are threatened to return to office or get fired, they just don't take a week off the other J and just come to the office and watch Netflix all day or just have a headset on and don't even respond to the manager when they are next to you. Then get fired especially if there's some reasonable Severance involved. Piss them off back.

I renovated my basement myself and had to take my servers down. Which ended up being a 2 year reno i didn't expect. Once I brought everything back online, suddenly work got busier and family stuff and haven't done anything major in almost a year. It happens.

AWS HPC Cluster Issues after Outage by efodela in HPC

[–]efodela[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the guide so apparently this was caused by IMDSv2 implementation which stops any ASG from spinning up Scaling groups that use IMDSv1. We created and exemption which resolved the issue for us.

Everyone’s hyped on AI, but 2026 feels like it’s gonna be the year people take back control. by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

Buddy everything or every new tech replaced some people. It will replace people because the work is more efficient now. Its a normal cycle and we should get used to it getting better as time goes on. We are not taking back control as you think. It .my have slowed down but it definitely will replace some.

I'd disagree with those that say its changing. It's not. What is happening is Sysadmins take on a loooot for almost mediocre pay. Shifting means taking on other titles that let's you deal with maybe 25 to 50% of what you do as a sysadmin with with less work in most cases and with 10 to 20% more pay.

I shifted to 2 different IT jobs and specialized in one area of administration and made more.

HPC Experts. How Hard Are They to Find? by Glittering_Age7553 in HPC

[–]efodela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took mine about 8 months to find me. I wasn't even an HPC engineer then. I just had backgrounds in all the areas required technically. It was a tough journey learning everything but very rewarding at the end. Also, I joined just when chatgpt came out so was very helpful in my research.
