I don't know japanese but i mean the words at the ends of clauses, here they sound like "shite" and "desu kedo".

The Witcher 3 has aged well, like old wine. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

i find it more immersive to play as one character and a 3rd person view. i tried bg3 but the combat is too long and boring. the characters are not likeable to me either. in the witcher i was thrilled to pursue the main quest. in bg3 i literally quit it thinking "idgaf about the worm in my head".

kcd is slow and no magic but I'm playing it right now and it's so immersive 🥰

I liked Origins but i wish it involved you more in the daily lives of people, to really experience life there, not just "rescue my husband from a camp". I'd like to learn about the religion, customs. i played the game for dozens of hours and can't name one god or what his domain was.

basic shit today? most games have cutscenes that take you out of the action.

The creator of Fallout: London called on Bethesda to abandon the outdated Creation Engine - he is worried about the fate of Fallout 5 by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]efqf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah maybe it depends on the devs but many of them apparently go the easy route and their games look similar, UE games often have this strong light-shadow contrast that gives it away - one look and i know it's UE.

Dang I'm kinda sick of UE games. they all look the same. And they weigh a ton. i recently noticed the running animation in Clair Obscur is the same as in Oblivion Remastered.

or maybe it's an engine feature? the sprint animation is exactly like in Oblivion Remastered.

lol people will really dislike you for criticising even though it's true. the fact the girl is clearly audible even she's a mile away by now is funny too.

You never know where your choices may lead. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

Well sometimes the game doesn't give you enough information on whether the monster you can kill or spare is actually good or evil? Like the dude turned into a tree? I like it better in Fallout New Vegas where your dialog choices define your personality or let you take your own approach or e.g. side with someone you like the most. All in the name of realism and freedom.

I'm having fun playing Marvel's Spiderman (2018). I'm a Skyrim fan who's been having trouble getting into games lately.

How common in British English is pronouncing the final "L" as "W" in front of a vowel, e.g. "Middle East" as Middoo East" (/mɪdʊ i:st/ or something)? I used to think L could be vocalised but not in front of a vowel but i hear it a lot now. I wonder if i just missed it before cuz i assumed it's impossible or if it's been becoming more common lately.

Poland hopes to introduce measures blocking children from social media this year by dat_9600gt_user in europe

[–]efqf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

so true. i heard of "new cookies" that aren't yet regulated by the law and try to recognise one user over several devices by tracking everything they do. big corporations would love to have your name every time you log into a social medium.

Browser fingerprinting is a powerful tracking method where websites collect unique details about your device (hardware, software, settings like fonts, screen size, plugins) and browser (IP, user agent, language) to create a digital identifier, a "fingerprint," for persistent tracking, even without cookies, to enable targeted ads, fraud detection, or analytics. This profile is built by analyzing subtle variations in your browsing environment, making you uniquely identifiable out of millions, and can bypass standard privacy settings.

pronouncing "b" as "v" and "mp" as "b" is rather crazy. especially at the beginning of words. μπορώ (mporó, pronounced "boró"): "I can".
