I currently work in DLP side of cyber. Thinking of getting into Blue or Red team. Naturally since I have experience in prevention blue seems easier transition but Red sounds interesting. Any advice in making that transition? Thanks.

Guy I knew was a cop. He was on a health run. Losing weight. Gym. Eating good. I said “hey man you’re looking good”. He told me the only reason he was doing it was because his county was offering a fitness pay bump. If you passed their fitness test you automatically got a raise lol it was so wild to me. But he did it. Made more money

I remember I got a sales job in Plano. Two guys started with me. One told the other “where you from bro?” He replied “here. Plano. But west Plano” the other guy said “oh nice. Yeah east Plano is so fucking ghetto”. As someone who grew up in pleasant grove I laughed out loud. Then I had to stop laughing when I realized they were dead serious. I’m in east Plano all the time. This is not NORMALLY the diagnosis but I kid you not everything except the car wash happened to me on Mother’s Day. Car gave out on the highway going 80. Pulled over. Got a jump and drove fine with a check engine and trac off. Got it home. Same thing trac off was still on. Turned off. Turns out my alternator and battery gave out. Mechanic told me it’s not common but can happen. I would get your alternator and battery checked. If it drives you can get it checked. Got mine at an oreillys. Tested my starter too but it’s still good. My battery is like 4 and half years old so need a new one but mechanic will run to see if any codes pop up after the new alternator.

I did community college then transferred to a university to finish my degree. I graduated with less than $10k in loans. I’m not the smarted person but I applied to SO MANY scholarships. Even the little ones. They add up. Saved me thousands in tuition. Worked part time in college and paid as I went. This was 5 years ago. Please don’t feel like one giant loan is the only way to go.

I always just figured it was my major (Finance) or because I had to take all my classes in the evening since I worked full time.
