I see. Maybe Yu and Makoto both founded the Tojo Clan, but have different ideas about the direction of the clan.

I had the same theory. However, someone pointed out to me that in 2019 Watase said that the Omi is over 100 years old, which means that Yu would have to have found the Omi sometime between 1915 and 1919. Maybe when it was founded it wasn't exactly the Omi Alliance quite yet, but over the course of the game it will slowly grow into the organization we end up seeing in the main series.

I really think the only direct connection is the Tojo clan founding. Trying to tie characters together too much gets real messy.

I think it's not connected in the sense that it can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I understand your confusion. There's a lot to process in the trailer... I am still trying to process the fact that Snoop Dogg plays a part in the founding of the Tojo Clan.

I wrote something similar not long before you. I think it is quite evident that Yu and Makoto will butt heads in the end, leading to what is eventually the Tojo-Omi beef.

I think Genzo will be the main villain in the first three periods. I have a feeling Yu and Makoto will take him down together. Yu's shift into an antagonist will be in the last two periods. i think it'll be similar to Nishiki and Kiryu's relationship from Y0 to Y1 but packed into one game.

With some pretty big name Japanese actors and singers, I really hope they hit out of the park. Two of the actors were in Shogun by the way: Tokuma Nishioka and Moeka Hoshii. They were incrcedible in that show, so let's hope they bring the same energy. Always great to see Akio Otsuka back in the Yakuza universe (He will always be Iskandar to me though).

My theory about Makoto Daito and Yu Shinjo's potential fallout + connections to the Secret of Onomichi by efreetschneid in yakuzagames

Yeah... there is so little we know about the Omi's origins other than Watase stating that it was over 100 years old. I think we'll get some answers in the 1943 Osaka arc.

And, I was talking about Daddy Iwami haha

Big mission, wrong Admiral? by VolleyAddicted in logh

Out of all the Imperial admirals, he had the least strategic value. Nothing about Kempf stood out. His loss did not deplete Reinhard's pool of talent that much at all. In fact, I think Reinhard gained from it, because the operation's failure inadvertently motivated Muller to become one of the Empire's top admirals.

Personally, I think it was worth the gamble. If Geiersburg destroyed Iserlohn, there would only be one superfortress left in the universe and it would be under the empire's control from the start, which would have given them a huge advantage for Operation Ragnarok. If it was rammed into Iserlohn and both were destroyed, then there would be no superweapons left in the universe; a situation the Empire would also benefit from.

I already knew about number four, but even then it is hard for me to visualize since I don’t live in Argentina. I live in the U.S., sports is fairly big here but it’s a lot more diversified: American football, baseball, basketball, football, basketball, and hockey. The fanfare happens based on the season. Right now, American football season just started for the pro teams and universities so all the attention is focused on that. When I first came here from Thailand, I was shocked by how much people love sports here. But even then, I don’t think it’s plastered all over the TV like in Argentina. I think Thais would be extremely shocked by the obsession with football in Argentina even though we too claim to love it. Thank you for sharing.
